After 6 yrs on Avonex I stopped because I didn't think is was doing anything anymore...my old neuro agreed...without any MRIs other than the initial one. My new neuro is suggesting after reviewing MRIs of the spine which has atrophied but has increased multiple foci but do not demonstrate contrast enhancement-there is no formal stenosis- to do monthly IV steroid and go on Copaxone.
I was thinking to try LDN but not sure it would ...

Right now, I am seeing my GP only. I just got a referral for Neuro, It seems highy likely i have MS or a similar disease, currently. My GP put me on Abx, as i am going for that abx protocol. I also want to ask for LDN, whats the easiest way to do this?
I was thinking of maybe bringing a print-out and then asking him for the prescirption/explaining. He seems fairly open minded.

Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the UK are missing out on treatment with a ‘miracle drug’ for their disease because of lack of awareness among GPs and a fears over its potential cost.
Naltrexone 300mg, sold under the trade name Nalorex in the UK, is approved to help addicts break their addictions to drugs such as heroin and other opiate-based substances, but low doses of the medicine have been used across the Atlantic ...

I am thinking of starting LDN--mainly because I think it might help with my numerous allergies, to foods, pollens etc etc.
If anyone has had LDN help relieve allergy symptoms, I'd appreciate hearing about it--
and also would appreciate any info if your alllergies got worse with LDN.

Hi everyone,
Just to let you know that there is a Dr in Wales who prescribes LDN and all you need to do is find a Pharmacy who can supply the prescription.
Living in Glasgow is handy as there is a Pharmacy but they deliver the LDN with a receipt for payment so I would imagine they will deliver it to most places.
Dr Gilhooly also offers LDN in Glasgow but his prices are very ...

Post subject: Importance of body's ph level for MSers Posted: Sun Aug 29, 2010 7:31 am |

Contrary to popular belief, many doctors and scientists believe that the body's first defense against disease is not the immune system, but rather the body's natural pH levels. Most of the food items in BBT diets are high alkaline /low acid in it. Thats how LDN works only with the diet.
Because cells are the basis of all life, it is important to keep them healthy in every aspect. One of the more important aspects ...

Hi,
I have used LDN successfully for 1 1/2 years for MS. I'm about to go in and get possible stents during my second CCSVI procedure. I'd like to go back on LDN for it's healing properties. But, if I am on blood thinners for the recommended 6 months....is it advised? I've been on my own with this from day one.....no doctor, no script. Other than the CRAB shots, I've always believed that LDN could ...
