Antipsychotics / Neuroleptics For Mental Disorders - Comments

In terms of antipsychotics / neuroleptics meant for the treatments of mental disorders , clinical evidences actually indicate that those troubled with mental disorders, especially the serious ones, shouldn't just rely solely upon the medications as the one and only means of solution to their mental problems.

To put it bluntly, such medications, they are no different from sleeping pills whereby their calming effects just 'come and ...

all the great religions, at their core, espouse essentially the same truth, clothed merely in different modes of expression. This is just MY belief.
Slow down and breath. let some of your bad feelings ...

Post subject: Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor's stroke...what she learned
PostPosted: Fri Jun 13, 2008 11:16 am
Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering.
St. Augustine of Hippo

Give me chastity and continency -- but not yet!
St. Augustine of Hippo

One of the greatest philosophers and theologians.

I can relate to both qoutes. Arti

Post subject: MS and the need for a peaceful heart
PostPosted: Thu Feb 28, 2008 11:18 pm
I have found it is important in my life for not only my body to be taken care of- but my heart also. A peaceful heart has become an inportant part of my day. Prayer and "Be Still and Know" is more important each day. Without that base, the fluctuations in the symptoms would drive me crazy!

As a result of of sin, many of us are suffering from yeast overgrowth. Yeast is a single celled fungal organism. Addictions to sugar, sweets, diets, white flour, supplements, caffeine, alcoholic beverages, hormonal contraceptives, corticosteroids, and antibiotics, cause yeast to proliferate throughout the digestive tract. As yeast spreads, it out-competes and decreases the good bacteria necessary for digestion. This bacterial imbalance is called dysbiosis. With lack of nutrient absorption, it is no wonder why so many ...
