MS and the need for a peaceful heart

I have found it is important in my life for not only my body to be taken care of- but my heart also. A peaceful heart has become an inportant part of my day. Prayer and "Be Still and Know" is more important each day. Without that base, the fluctuations in the symptoms would drive me crazy!

Lenton Meditation

As a result of of sin, many of us are suffering from yeast overgrowth. Yeast is a single celled fungal organism. As yeast spreads, it out-competes and decreases the good bacteria necessary for digestion. This bacterial imbalance is called dysbiosis. With lack of nutrient absorption, it is no wonder why so many ...

West Wing Worthwhile?

Hopefully, this is the correct section for such an enquiry.

The TV show, West Wing (Series 4) has just commenced in Australia. In the tv preview it stated that the President is grappling with 'coming out' about his MS, so I watched the first two episodes. However, there wasn't much focus on his MS, except for some reference to short-term memory loss. I noted that he moves around like an Olympian, so walking is clearly ...

My husband and I are seeing a social worker to help us talk out our feelings about how my MS effects our relationship and how to cope in the future with changes that come about. Our discussions help us to broach topics and open up topics for discussion. We have a very open & loving relationship and our mediator helps us to discuss things we hadn't thought to put into action. We were referred to ...

With Respect Given to all Faiths

Happy Easter to all. If you are of the Christian faith, today means, above all other things, HOPE. Many other faiths have similar special events, days, and deities, however I only know my own beliefs intimately enough to post on this day - and today in my faith, I am celebrating HOPE.

Spring is such a wonderful time when you live in Canada, I look outside (I can finally open a window or two during ...

MS and Your Pets

I have found my pets to be one of my greatest comforts during the ups and downs of MS. Even during deep fatigue, when I can't even listen to the hum of the floor lamp (much less the TV), my little female lovebird curls up on my chest and takes a nap with me. (We're on a reclining chair, so it's safe for her.)

Anyone else find that their pets' empathy makes some symptoms more ...
