For those folks who have a library of MS-related books, I recommend the first acquired book be Multiple Sclerosis: The History of a Disease by T. Jock Murray, OC, MD.

this is a really short rerad but I enjoyed it, definetly a Catholic read.

It's hard not to like this author or his character. Block is an Edgar Award winner as well as the Shamus Award. His writing is tight and very descriptive and this character has a dark side that's easy to like. There are a ton of books in this series and it doesn't matter whether you start at the first or just fall into the series somewhere in the middle. They're all terrific. Is anyone else ...

A fabulous mystery filled with a lot of factual historical data.???

True story by the young widow of a Maine police officer who takes up her deceased husband's dream and goes to seminary to become a chaplain. Not at all preachy or melancholy, but a wise, honest and often funny account of how one woman dealt with a huge transition in her life. I loved Braestrup's writing...her poetic descriptions of the Maine landscape, her insight into life and death, her humor.

I read this book recently, the author is Lois Pryce, she's a journalist from Great Britain. She rode from Alaska USA to the tip of Argentina on a motorcycle. Most of it she had a companion of some sort, but a lot of it was traveled ALONE.

This book, The MS Recovery Diet by Ann D. Sawyer and Judith E. Bachrach, expresses many unconventional ideas.

On the general attitude toward MS by medicine and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society:

Loobie can you believe I was so excited about getting thebook "Tuesdays's with morrie" I got another by the same author???"for one more day" It was ok not as good as the five people you meet in heaven....i like to be slamed by a brick.....and the later does that ...but they were both on the same topic I believe....anyone else's opinion.

I loved the book "The five people you meet in heaven" only 194 pages and that is hard back the size of a paperback....Fun light hearted, warm hearted ....a fast read....like going to the movies...the author is Mitch Albom...
