Does it get better? Stomach pain & nausea

I started Tecfidera on Oct. 30th, just finished second week of maintenance dose. I've had an iron stomach all my life, never had bowel problems - until now. I'm constantly nauseated, have the stomach pain others have described, and I'm constipated. I have no appetite and even experience stomach pain from drinking water.

I've read all the posts with the excellent suggestions, which I'm going to do my best to follow.

My question for ...

Just started Tecfidera

I was officially diagnosed with MS Sept. 26 2016. At that appointment my doctor and I decided the first thing I would try is Tecfidera. On 9/27 I got a call from Biogen, on 9/28 I got a call from my specialty pharmacy, and on 10/3 (yes, 1 week later) my starter pack was delivered to my front door. This process was amazing! Everything was taken care of for me, Biogen haggled with my insurance ...

For those of you thinking about starting on Tecfidera

Hi. I just wanted to encourage anyone starting Tecfidera. I had a hard time choosing Tecfidera because of the side effects. When you do a web search, there is not even one person saying, "Hey, you might not get these side effects" or "Its not that bad." Even my own Neurologist told me I might be wearing Depends. This is my 4th medication in 3 years since my diagnosis, and I always have a hard ...

Anyone getting flushing 3-6 hours after taking Tecfidera?

Hey, on the full dose of Tecfidera for about two months now. It's the first treatment I've tried - just been diagnosed over the past year. I've been generally tolerating it well (taking morning and night with food) with only occasional flushing issues.

Fast forward to this week, and the pattern seems to be changing. I've been getting red 3-6 hours after I've taken the pill for the majority of the week. I am wondering ...

Tec Side Effects

Hi all, first time poster and recently diagnosed.. I was put on Tecfidera in March of this year for obviously my RRMS. I have the normal side effects (flushing, nausea) but I also have noticed my hair has thinned A LOT. I am a bottle blonde but as far as my hair has gone my hairdresser always commented on how good condition my hair was in for dying it. Well this is not the case ...

Tecfidera and Lymphopenia

Hello everyone,

I've had rather stable MS since being diagnosed 14 years ago (initial severe exacerbation followed by a few minor relapses after the births of my two kids). Previous drugs were Rebif, Betaseron and Copaxone. The interferons destroyed my thyroid and the Copaxone went well for 3 years before giving me several episodes of the dreaded pseudo-heart attack syndrome.

I went on Tecfidera shortly after it was approved in 2013 and it has been ...

First Month on Tecfidera Going Suspiciously Well...

I'm in my third week of my first month of tec and things are going.... really good? I haven't had any side effects at all; no nausea, no flushing, no anything. I very strictly followed LadyMac's 'guideline' for taking tec for all of like, the first pill. and then I slacked off and did whatever/ate whatever and absolutely nothing changed. I've been taking the medicine on schedule once in the morning and once at night, ...
