Flushing and makeup

3 months in on Tec and the flushing is still daily. If the 6 month check-up MRI shows nothing new, I can survive getting a bit red from time to time.

The problem is that the heat of the flushings are ruening my makeup, the foundation(ID bare minerals powder) kindoff separates from the skinn and gathers in spots on the face. I am not very vain but I would like to be able to wear ...

Choosing Meds - Insurance Issues?

Hey! I was recently diagnosed with RRMS and given three different beginning drug choices. Tecfidera, Gilenya, and Copaxone. I was told that my insurance (Fidelis Medicaid) would fully cover the Copaxone, but that they don't currently cover either Gilenya or Tecfidera. However, the neuro resident I met with concerning the med information was very confident that although they would decline covering the medication a first time, so long as they re-submitted it a second time ...

Have Your doctor test lymphocyte count

I was bummed of course when I got the news of MS, but going on a safe oral was good news for me. I was immediately put on Tecfidera and had little to no side effects. I did everything to prepare for the worst side effects, but after two weeks it was smooth sailing. However, a year into it I started having skin issues and I lost a ton of my pigmentation due to vitiligo. ...

Tecfidera Recurrent Side-effects (after initial side-effects

I have been on Tecfidera for a little over 2 years. I had the typical GI side-effects for 2 months when I first started the drug, but for the most part (except for 5 days of nausea 6 months into it) it has been smooth rolling until recently. Recently I had three weeks with nausea and a bloated and hard upper stomach. That went away but now I have been having diarrhea for one week. ...
