Two quick questions - what kind of catheter did you have - the Hickman or the Power Hickman?

Second question - how long did you remain in Baltimore post chemo? (I know the consider the chemo days as negative days 1-4, then start over at day 1 for post).

When I was at JHH I remember it being called a line and a hickman but that was in May, 08. I was in IPOP for 18 days after the 4 days in the hospital. For me, it took 9 days of infusion rebooting medication to get my numbers back up. It also took a while for my numbers to fall after the HiCy in the hospital. Everyone is different but there is a time range. Check with Dr. Brodsky or your nurse practitioner.

Mel had a hickman and we left Baltimore about two weeks after the treatment.
