Re: Thymoquinone from black seed oil fights ebv (in vitro)

I think that nigella sativa caused a minor relapse in my left foot and that this has gradually resolved whilst on melatonin, crocin, beta interferon 1a, vitamin a, vitamin d, niacin, tryptophan, curcumin, inosine and minocycline. I would be EXTREMELY cautious about nigella sativa.

Re: Vitamin A

... taking vitamin A as well as D and maybe saffron which is a POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT. This has not for me been associated with the negative sequelae of nigella sativa or ocimum sanctum (tenuiflorum) or anatabine... I've been trying these all this year and the latter 3 made me worse. So I tried the saffron ...

Re: Gibbledygook's stents

So I think nigella sativa may actually be harmful because it upregulates antigen specific CD8 positive T cells and because I got a renewed and worse symptom(s) in my left foot so I ditched this herb about 3 weeks ago and switched ...

CROCIN - FROM SAFFRON

... I did 5 minutes on the cross trainer today and I wasn't expecting to do more than 2 minutes. My other physio task which was much harder on the nigella sativa was today pretty good. I don't normally fluctuate much so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Unfortunately a pot of 60 pills costs ...

... some in vitro and some in vivo mouse studies. So I will see how I go on that and update this in the regimens section. I also very recently tried nigella sativa but again I think this upregulates TH1 inflammatory pathways and I had a much worse left foot numbness develop on that herb. I also tried ...

Re: Gibbledygook's stents

So last night I had the interferon beta 1a with the nigella seed oil which I had taken for 4 days and I had no elevated temperature like the last time combining these two. However my walking is worse today. I will stop the nigella seed oil for another ...

... cane. Today my walking is less good but still I can stumble along the corridor without the cane. I will just have to see. I am going to resume the nigella after approximately one week and after my next beta interferon 1a to see if I have a high fever or not on it. Most peculiar that fever. Quite ...

Re: Thymoquinone from black seed oil fights ebv (in vitro)

Hi Anonymoose, when I a started the beta interferon 1a, I had fever which is a very common initial side effect but this typically attenuated the longer you stay on the interferon. This was the case for me until last night.

Good luck taking the nigella sativa. It is a powerful herb in my view.

Re: Thymoquinone from black seed oil fights ebv (in vitro)

Okay, I have been taking 500mg of nigella sativa oil twice daily for 5 days and it definitely affects my legs and my vision and my spasms and not necessarily in a positive way. My vision is brighter and colours more vivid. My legs feel different ...
