Re: Changing diet - Beneficial or Not??

I was diagnosed a year ago with rrms at 26. My diet was crap for lack of a better term. I spent the first 6 months trying to eat a bit healthier but wasn't really succeeding. In that time I had 7 exacerbations, a couple of which were fairly severe. In December I made the decision to be very strict w...

Tough Mudder?! Anyone?

Hey everyone,

I was just curious if any fellow pwMS have ever done the Tough Mudder competition and what their experiences were with it. I know its a little extreme, but I kinda feel I want to give it a shot while I still can.

Thanks!!!

interesting read about Lyme disease, testing & misdiagnosis

http://www.rense.com/general43/kly.htm

Aaand the government and drug company's/doctor's/charity's role in it. I'm finding it harder and harder not to be a cynic and a "conspiracy theorist" about the drug companies and the their manipulation. Anyone else?!

The Tysabri Debacle - from Dr. Ashton Embry (direct-ms.org)

This was posted on one of the fb groups that I follow. An interesting read for a newbie like me, for some its probably old news, but interesting none the less. Death and Dividends: The Tysabri Debacle     For the last three to four years neurologists have been talking about the coming of a much more...

Re: EBV

It answers the mystery as to why DNA from herpes antibodies increases by something like 500% in the spinal fluid of MS sufferers during attacks. Such DNA is not found in the CFS of non MS-rs. Hey Gainsbourg, or anyone else who might know.. I have seen this come up a couple of times on different thr...

Does my thought process make sense?!?

So I read the posts on tims every other day or so to try and make sense of all this. It helps to know that other people are in the same boat as me. I have no where near the knowledge on this that most of you do, but I have, not so much a theory but well maybe it is a theory I don't know... There has...

I think mine was ebv. I got mono when I was 24 and at 26 I had my first exacerbation and was diagnosed.

Re: EBV

What about the amino acid L-lysine? It is used for prevention and treatment of cold sores. Not sure if it would specifically target EBV though.

Re: any rocket scientists out there? Anyone who can decifer

Thank you everybody, you have given me some serious food for thought. I've been trying to learn as much as I can but only being diagnosed in April its pretty overwhelming. At this point I believe I will be holding off on the switch to Tysabri until I have a chance to actually talk to the MS neurolog...

any rocket scientists out there? Anyone who can decifer MRIs

So, I've just had my new MRI, and for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. I tried translating it into english from russian, german, pig latin. I even went so far as to using the davinci code thinking it was in some sort of secret society code but nothing worked lol. Alright so seriously, my neu...

Re: Copaxone and Monthly Cycle?

This is kind of along the same subject but not directly. Have any of you found that exacerbations follow the same kind of timeline as your cycle? I brought this up to my neuro and he told me that it was "inconsequential information" although in my case it seems pretty evident. Is it just m...
