My brain MRI shows: "There is a subtle linear increased T2 signal within the splenium extending towards the right side". AND "There is some minimal increased signal also of the superior margin of the genu which may represent a tiny amount of lipoma". (I've had a lipoma in the corpus colossus for 14 yrs, but this last finding is new...and likely not a lipoma) AND "Mild mucosal thickening and/or effusion is again seen within the right mastoid air cells". My cervical and lumbar do not show lesions.)
I had a LP yesterday so the results should be easy next week. I have had an EMG done in Dec which showed a nerve issue in both cervical and lumbar spine issues, yet the neurosurgeon said that the herniations are not the cause of an abnormal EMG. He had no opinion of what's causing it symptoms. I have had weakness in both right arm and leg for 5 months. I assumed it was due to herniations but surgeon said no. Various times I would wake up with fully asleep arms, but feeling and strength would come back.
These last two weeks are different. I can use my fingers for short periods of time, and walk with a walker for short distances to the bathroom only. I need help to do everything because of severe weakness and the feeling that my limbs are in concrete.
Thanks for your comments, I have no idea if this is MS or not. Thanks!
