Neurologist said I may have MS or Lyme

My name is Angela, 45 years and back in December of 2012 I went to visit my sister in New York City. The day I got back I thought I was dying!! I was shivering cold and my whole body was shaking. I assume now it was a fever and what I later found out was Parvovirus B19 was probably taking hold at that moment. So, I had all the classic Parvo systems, tested positive. About 6 months later my hands and feet go numb, I didn't say anything because the medical community already doesn't take Parvo seriously. When I want to my Rheumatologist in July I mentioned the numbness and she referred me to a Neurologist.

I just saw him yesterday (I took 2 months to get in). He was very nice (not like the Rheumy has been - she is very dismissive). He did some sort of tests where he checked something with vibration and cold on my hands and feet. I couldn't feel the cold on parts of my hands or feet.

I have horrible back spasms, mostly in the mornings. I get what I call shocks of pain everywhere, but mostly my hands and feet. I had Optic Neuritis in January, I believe. It was definitely AFTER I got sick in December. I'm pretty much a shell of who I used to be. I can't even ride my bike, walking is a joke. Being outside for 3 hours puts me in bed by 5 or 6. I'm just wiped out. I did also have a low level of Vitamin D of 9, that at last check was corrected to a 29, still not great but better.

I go for a conductive nerve test next month and I'm waiting for them to tell me when they've scheduled an MRI.

I guess I'm just looking for validation that I'm looking in the right direction and I'm feeling very sad. I personally know 3 people, 2 of which are friends who have MS. One is doing great, the other not and I fear for myself and my 9 year old daughter. What kind of mother will I be able to be to her. I've gotten so sick so fast and it scares me.

As for the Lyme possibility, I got bitten by a tick well over 30 years ago, so I don't even know if it's a possibility, but he's going to check anyway.

Lyme stays with you and considered a prehistoric virus that can cause latent neurological problems years later.

Make sure they get diagnosis right. If you have Lymes the last thing you want is to be put on immunosuppressants.

I tested negative for lYmes but curiously when I came off Rebarf I recovered a lot :?:
