Leonardo,
Good to hear your positive fatigue results with ALC, my partner also uses it and has had very positive results both in fatigue and reducing brain fog.
You've made a very important point that Acetyl Levo Carnitine (ALC) is not the same as Levo Carnitine (LC).
ALC is the same structure as that found in meats and is highly absorbable with very little passing through to the colon, but the LC is poorly metabolised and only about 20% is absorbed and 80% goes through to the colon and is hence exposed to bacterial fermentation as per the study above.
That is a major critique of the study as well, by using the LC in addition to the red meat, they have effectively destroyed their own conclusions on red meat as they did not test it alone.
Alpha lipoic acid and L-Cartinine
Re: Alpha lipoic acid and L-Cartinine
I am just an interested individual trying to crack the autoimmune nut.
Partner has Graves Disease, 5 years, showing good test results, looking forward to potential remission in the near future.
3 friends have MS, 1 just recently diagnosed, severity 7/10.
