Dr. Bergamaschi, Director of the MS Center of Pavia (Italy).

translated with google from an italian forum http://www.sclerosi.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19112&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60 :

here is the complete text from Facebook: CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis http://www.facebook.com/pages/CCSVI-nella-Sclerosi-Multipla/139997017782 in the 4 November 2009:

Dear friends,
finally some good news. He replied Dr. Bergamaschi, Director of the Center SM of Pavia. Here is the text:
"Mr. Rasman Gent.mo.
MS Center of Pavia is an extremely interesting topic to which you refer, and there is every reason to perform the evaluations "vascular" (and possibly intervention) in patients with MS. In particular, we have an interventional neuroradiology, and we are on good terms with both Dr. Salvi, both with Prof. Zivadinov, with whom we work for years (often also sending our staff to Buffalo). We took to obtain the necessary equipment, and I think we shall shortly be operational.
If you like we can keep in touch for updates on the evolving situation.
Sincerely
Roberto Bergamaschi "

I added a neurologist, Dr. Stephen Brenner. He responded favorably to Dr. Zamboni's paper.

Here is Dr. Brenner's eletter in response to Dr. Zamboni's paper :

I think that so far, the closest place to my Chicago location would be in Detroit but I'm wondering if anyone knows of someone or any location in the Chicago, Indiana or Wisconsin area that would certainly be closer for me. Just curious. I'm thinking that there might be some back and forth involved or is this something whereby they test you and you have the procedure right away? Can I also hope that insurance will cover this procedure? If not, how much will I have to pay for it? Anyone know?

JoyceF... There are only 3 people in the world who I know about who can do the Liberation Treatment. In Italy, in Poland and at Stanford University. This is very new. The Jacobs Neurological Institute in Buffalo is currently doing a blinded trial screening for CCSVI. I suggest that you read all the information on the Just The Facts thread. Most of the BIG NAMES here are not interventional radiologists. They come from a variety of backgrounds as you may notice. Just teach yourself about CCSVI via this board and/or the Facebook CCSVI page.

Does anyone know what Dr. John Cooke's involvement in CCSVI is? Dr. Dake is not "in network" for my insurance, but Dr. Cooke IS!
