Believe me, most of us have seen it. I would agree with most of those that propose the need of further investigation aka clinical trials in the field, but this post is a pure crap.

I wish Dr. Rose had spent a part of his time trying to understand why patients who got treated are feeling better ...

This is a person's opinion based on himself. Where is the scientific data that support his opinion?

My opinion is that correcting CCSVI will lead to a hurricane in Japan. I have the right to express it and everybody has the right to consider it stupid.

I had not seen this before and agree that most of it sounds like aggressive bullshit. But anyway, it's always good to have adversaries with arguments and there is one thing I like about his post and that is the image of the venous system. What makes me think is his remark that this is supposed to be a perfectly normal venous system and that "Veins are normally tortuous with bulbous dilations. It's easy to show relative "obstructions" needing "liberation"..." If I had a scan of my head and neck veins that showed a picture like that I'd go crazy thinking I was stenosed all over. So - question to all those who know more: is that a "realistic reconstruction of the veins" ... of an MS patient, of a normal control? Good heavens!

Dr Colin Rose is listed as a cardiologist and Associate Professor at McGill University in Montreal. A Google search reveals very little. It would be interesting to discover his motives for publishing such a vitriolic attack on anything connected with CCSVI. It is so aggressively anti which leads the reader to suspect that there might be a hidden agenda.

slanders and ...

Post by prairie »

Colin Rose uses slanders and straw men arguments instead of facts to attack CCSVI and Dr. Zamboni. I'm confident that further research findings (Buffalo) will confirm (or disprove) CCSVI without Rose's assistance.

The official skeptical line that says 'why no animal studies' doesn't seem to know about Putnam's work back in the 1930's

Reading the 2 links kindly provided by Sotiris, his motives become much clearer. Loobie's famous comment sums it up perfectly!

rather than dismiss all this I think its important to look at it point by point and respond to the logical arguments. Some of it is just 'skeptical faith' and hysteria but the lagoic needs to be looked at point by point and respoded to.

Sotiris, thank you for the links. Unfortunately no post adresses my concern regarding the image depicting the venous system and Dr. Rose's comment that "Veins are normally tortuous with bulbous dilations". I mean, this is a key question indeed.

Looking at his writings I don't think rational arguments work with him. I just looked at his facebook page, it's mostly filled with posts about how great Israel is and how the smartest people in the world are all Jewish. I defintely am not slamming him for being proud of his heritage, but he looks like an extremist type of person who is best just ignored.
