Fingolimod pill (FTY 720) filed for FDA approval

Novartis just released this. I haven’t read it carefully yet but it does say they submitted Fingolimod’s FDA and EMEA applications in December.

Novartis International AG (CH) - Novartis oral MS therapy FTY720 shows reduced risk of confirmed disability progression as published in New England Journal of Medicine

Are they thinking this may help with progressive MS?

My specialist ran a trial for Fingolimod. She said it was better for RRMS and that they would be conducting a trial for the PPMS/SPMS? version later this year.
