Also call your neuro and ask him/her to write a letter explaining the meds and why you're bringing needles on the plane. They know what to say. My neuro did one for me and I think it saves a lot of questions. It can only help.

Wow! Thanks very much for digging this up. Very interesting... Trial and error, indeed. It sounds more like throwing a dart, seeing where it sticks and not bothering to move it. A very scientific method of figuring out the dosing. And although I may be one of their more compliant patients (on...

I also do mine at night. Like PX, I don't have time in the morning. And plus some of the sites are a little tender or sore and my work clothes aren't as comfortable. But I would love to do it in the morning and get it out of the way for the day. PS: PX, I read your other Copaxone post and just haven...

Thanks PX. Now I'm really curious about the dosing. Since I was so wrong with my original thought, I shouldn't say anything else. It's just that I assumed (yeah, I know what they say about that) at some point along the line they had tried other doses and/or dosing schedules, at least in the earlier ...

Thanks Dignan. I saw this yesterday with your other abstracts and wanted to ask -- Do you know what the original Copaxone dosing was during the FDA trial? I'm just guessing but they did they use daily doses of different amounts, like 20, 40 and 60? I can't believe 20 years later they still don't kno...

Dear Dr. Sclafani, Words can’t express my gratitude and admiration for what you’re doing and how you do it – the list is way too long and most people have said it better already. By this time you know it is deeply appreciated by many, many people. So thank you for your involvement and for taking us ...

The Stanford trial is so important for everyone on this board. Please send your letters and emails, even if you've missed the suggested mailing date. Thanks Sammy Jo for bringing it to our attention and doing all the legwork to make it so much easier for all of us.

I hate having stuff in two places, but I also posted this in the General Discussion since I wasn't sure where it should go.

Fingolimod pill (FTY 720) filed for FDA approval

Novartis just released this. I haven’t read it carefully yet but it does say they submitted Fingolimod’s FDA and EMEA applications in December. Novartis International AG (CH) - Novartis oral MS therapy FTY720 shows reduced risk of confirmed disability progression as published in New England Journal ...

As of December 9, Novartis said it was still on track to file its application for Fingolimod with the FDA by 12/31/09. I didn't get a press release or see anywhere else that it happened, so I don't know what the delay is. Hopefully it shows up next week.

Hi Ben,
Welcome! Good questions. Other posts have discussed these issues, and it’s still in the works. Do you have any ideas? Have you had any luck or interest from any of your doctors -- neuro, pcp, local vascular and/or IR docs? Maybe they’d have suggestions.
