Lanie, who is an ultrasound technician, mentioned that they can see compressibility, color flow, and augmentation. Compressibility is definitely affected when a clot is present.

I would assume they were able to rule out a clot in erin's case.
Dania, in your case, they could tell that the vein was not as it should be, so they weren't able to rule out clot, even if it was tricky as to whether it was clotting or scarring or just what the difference between those two is. Clotting becomes scarring, when the clot gets old.
Even with a clot ruled out, it's possible to have elastic recoil or residual valve material or, later on, intimal hyperplasia regrowth or remaining ccsvi issues that went untreated altogether, so it's not an all-clear, but at least if clotting is ruled out, one worst case scenario (a clotting-related occlusion) is avoided.

Erin, you have stents? Those are more worrisome for complications. I'm actually not sure how stents look on a doppler exam. Compressibility is affected by the stent itself.

i didn't mind getting stents because if i restenosed i wouldn't be able to go anywhere to have it done again . it was a one shot deal for me.

Regular radiologist (or whoever does the ultrasound) saw my clot no probs and he knew nothing about CCSVI. He saw no flow.

I had a few broken teeth and root canals which had to be removed (I was postponing this for 5 years due to a fear of relapse). I finally did it, but after the CCSVI procedure the bones above the missing teeth became so prominent and sharp... I cannot really explain it, but, yes, there is definitely a dental change.

just a side note , i did some terrible things to my teeth when i was diagnosed 17 years ago . it was very popular in the 90s to change your amalgam fillings and i did . then a dentist told me my root canal caused my ms and i would get worse if i didn't pull it , so i let him. even though i reported him to the order of dentists and he was fined , he's still promoting this .

I always had a space between my front teeth (we call that "les dents du bonheur" - happiness teeth ) and it's gone !!! I had my last CCSVI procedure last May and it must have happened slowly but surely after... I now have totally straight teeth and I actually miss my good old gap but I can't complain, at least so far, as I don't have any other teeth-related complications. Good to know I'm not alone but still wish I could really know why ?!?

Wow, there's definitely some connection to teeth!
My gums (actually the bones or the roots in my gum) have popped out a bit forming a sticking sharp angle. I mean, it is not that I look like a teeth freak with teeth roots sticking out, it is not visible, but they are prominent than they used to be. I guess it is the blood flow, I don't know. No restenoses, though I continued to relapse after the procedure.

After one procedure I had major jaw pain for 3 weeks, turned out I had 2 dead teeth and needed 3 root canal. One month prior to procedure I had a dental examen, everything was fine. The IR said it was not related.

This automn the day after another procedure I lost a tooth in the car during the drive back for no reason, just like that it had died! I don't believe in coincidences!!! The dentist said the procedure affected the fragile equilibrium of my mouth.

I had tongue cancer previously with jaw bone necrosis because of the radiation treatments but everything was quiet for at least 7 years. Now I am on a liquid diet for 5 months. I just have my front teeth left, healing takes time in my case but I know for sure that the procedures had an impact.
