can be found in the references cited in the paper “Media, politics and science policy: MS and evidence from the CCSVI Trenches” by Daryl Pullman, Amy Zarzeczny and André Picard in BMC Medical Ethics 2013, 14:6 doi:10.1186/1472-6939-14-6

I found it by following a tweet published in Macleans by Anne Kingston, which I found by following http://www.thisisms.com/forum/chronic-c ... 26971.html

Circular references, anyone?

Let's just say the internet has allowed for some interesting convergences, 1eye! :)
Our online posts and conversations are followed by press, politicians and scientists. And sometimes, they publish what they find.

Here's my recent post on T. Jock Murray's comments about your new Science Minister---

I did a bit of fact checking in his book, MS: The History of a Disease. Let's just say he doesn't have this history straight.

Anne Kingston has a terrific article on the attack on Dr. Duncan by right-wingers and "MS specialists."

I have just read the links in your last post. Yours and Anne Kingston's efforts are excellent. I love to see diligent informed and intelligent amateurs take the 'experts' to task. Jock Murray's chapter sounds very authoritative but you are clearly right that he is misreporting Putnam's work. Shameful and bad science. And I also really like Anne's " For scientists to assert that the scientific process is ever over—nothing more to see here—runs contrary to how science works." A closed mind is neither a good starting point nor a good end point for a genuine scientist.

But I have faith and I am looking forward to how Kirsty will respond. I expect great things of her in government.
