Fluid requirement question

Post by mrtmeo »

I was wondering if anyone knows if someone with kidney disease can use less fluids due to the kidneys not able to get rid of 2.5L of fluids per day if they use a lower dose D3?
Mother was on Rituximab and prednisone for Microscopic Polyangiitis which attacked the kidneys and lungs.
Drs denied her dialysis and appropriate treatment for her MPA and forced her into hospice.
She is in heaven and free from pain.

Usually, doctors may order patients to check their levels of Calcium, PTH and Kidney condition each 4 or 6 months.

However, for patients with kidney problems they usually order for exams more often. Each 1 or 2 months. Of course, it may vary second patient's problem.

And they increase the vitamin D3 dose slowly. Until the dose fits patient's best condition.

Yes, people that cannot drink 2.5 liters of water ( and/or people with kidney problems) can follow Coimbra Protocol. But, would be necessary a doctor certified on this protocol monitoring you.

Thanks Antonio.
My mom gets some labs every 2 weeks due to anemia.
She is home bound at the moment.
