Magnesium Citrate is used as a laxative.....wouldn't help me...

I've seen a lot of discussion threads around "Insulin". I was just diagnosed last month, 10/22/12 with RRMS. I have normal sugar levels and I am not a diabetic. Can you please explain more about how Insulin affects MS??? Many thanks for your time.

I am new here. I was diagnosed with RRMS last month on 10/22/12. I was having bowel issues, and realized for me it was MSG and Gluten. Since I have eliminated these two demons, I rarely have bowel issues. I do have weak, heavy, tired legs though which is my main symptom.

My neurologist put me on Horizant, a subset of Gabepentin. It is 600mg, but I break it in half and take at bedtime. Noticeable difference for me. Might be worth asking about. I was rubbing my leg like crazy, because of that horrible feeling. I was just diagnosed 10/22/12. Best of luck to you!

Last month, in my neurologist's office, I could not feel the EMG as he was touching my legs, they are tingling constantly. Hi newfluv, I know what you mean. I was diagnosed last month on Oct.22nd, MRI showed multiple lesions in the white matter of my brain. I too have the tired, weak legs, my main complaint. I get that burning ankle pain too, which I was told is nerve pain..in any event it's horrible! My heart goes out ...

October 22, 2012...My neurologist looked at the results of my brain MRI and said there are multiple lesions in the white matter, what does that mean? Is this why my legs get so tired and feel so weird? It's my main symptom besides feeling tired.
