Saturated fat vers Co. oil
Have any of you researched current diets? I've read that we should stay away from sat. fat. But that comes from a book 5 yrs old. I believe that Coconut oil is more nutritious than Olive oil. I can take 2 ts of C. oil in the morning with my Tecfidera and feel fine. If I take Olive oil instead, I fee...

Re: head pain
Thank you, I appreciate it. I also have Stiff Person Syndrom and I asked my dr about the cause of this pain. He said it was more likely the SPS. As it effects all parts of the body with muscle spasms.

Re: Been suffering for 15 years, is this MS?
I am sorry to say, you may have SPS. It is misdx a lot. A low antibody counts does not diagnose it. You can still have it. I have both SPS and MS. And you are displaying many SPS simularities. The May Clinic is strict on their diagnose. If you don't reach a certain point, they say you don't have it....

head pain
Do any of you have head pain? I can't call it a headache, as I think they 'pound'. This is a pain that hits fast and hard and covers my entire head. Some times it only lasts a few minutes and other times I take something for it. It tends to hits at night or quickly after waking up.

Weight gain & numbness
Has anyone else gained weight? I've been on it for almost a month and gained 3lbs while eating less. And changing my diet. I've eliminated, gluten, sugar and all processed foods. I feel better, but I'm sure it's the diet. Also, last night for the very first time the top of my right foot and ankle we...

Re: Book - Overcoming MS
I'm beginning to think I'll eat fruits, veg, lean meat, a little coconut oil, and nuts. There are so many diets. But that seems like a good one. OMS seems too low in fat. We need that for the fat soluble vits. What do you think? And I'm debating on the med. I still have an itchy rash from it, after ...

Re: Walking and Spasticity
If you want to know what bld tests they're doing, ask, I would think they would tell you or give you a copy if you request it. It doesn't sound like SPS. Balance can be bad there too. But muscle stiffness or spasms are the main problem. Muscles relaxers don't work well but the Valium will stop or at...

Re: Book - Overcoming MS
And may I ask do you take medication for MS. Or do you prefer to handle it in a healthier life style? I'm not sure I want to take the med. I don't have many symptoms. But I don't want any more white matter in my brain either.

Book - Overcoming MS
Have any of you read the book Overcoming MS by Prof. George Jelinek? Any opinions? I would like to try to fight this with more natural means. Or by ANY means that I can. But I don't really like the med.

Re: Rash & red itchy spots
Thank you, I'll try some gel. The dr didn't address the allergic reaction. When I mentioned Benadril he said, "Oh no. Just use the asprin & Prilosec." That didn't make any sense to me for the rash, but I do have stomach issues too.

Re: Rash & red itchy spots
Thank you, I'm positive the red itchy spots are an allergy to them med. The forehead, not so much I may have had that before the meds. My skin has always been oily, now it's very dry & itchy. I called my dr last week, he advised the asprin & Prilosac. But they aren't helping. I'll call again...

Re: Walking and Spasticity
Do you have spasms? You say you can't walk, are you stiff? Did they check your Vit D & mag levels? These are usually quite low for MS and other autoimmune syndromes. Beside MS, I also have Stiff Persons Syndrome. That is very rare and few drs are aware of it. The symptoms vary greatly with it. B...

Rash & red itchy spots
Hi, I'm having a problem that I don't think any others are having. Or I haven't found it yet. I have a small rash on my forehead and the whole forehead itches like crazy. I also have red itchy spots on my upper body. The body spots I know started with the med. I've put cortisone, coconut oil, and a ...
