Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

no problem :) without reading back over the whole topic i'm curious if there's been any history that could implicate any sort of physical trauma. i know in my case that a 'whiplash headsmash' helmetless snowboarding wipeout precipitated my dx attack. mind you, i think it basically just put a preexi...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

i don't need your opinion on my input, v. we've been over it already. nw, good to hear you've been making progress :) Thank you for your contributions (and everyone's). Was also reading damage to c4/c5 nerves would probably cause the shoulder issues. I guess we will know soon enough. I will report ...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

She saw the neurologist today. At first glance of the MRI's the neurologist said something about possible nerve damage around c2 or c3, not ruling out MS. Could also be causing the loss of ability to raise arms in certain positions (nerve issues). She's getting more detailed MRIs tomorrow. Also got ...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

Could the demyelination simply be because of stress?

Can it go away?

I really don't think it's MS.

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

2 pills per day should be enough b12. magnesium is low in relation to d3 intake and calcium isnt necessarily advisable. high dose d3 tends to deplete magnesium over time, unless good quality properly timed mag is taken also. high dose d3 with calcium supplementation can result in its own set of iss...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

so 100 mcg per serving - shouldve remembered dv % is different than recommended daily for b12 is she taking 1 of these per day, or 2? magnesium content, esp in relation to calcium content (yay good old 2:1 sheesh), doesnt look high enough or high enough quality to properly contend with 5K IU of d3....

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

so 40 mcg? deficiency not likely, but depends in part on absorption / retention. if relevant, anything like pernicious anemia should have been evident earlier. bloodwork wouldn't hurt, regardless. the docs should run a b12 test if only to rule out low/deficient status as a contributing factor, if t...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

Hi, Even a neurologist will seek a professional technicians report on an MRI scan so I don't think our interpretations are something you should trust. When I have an MRI the machine produces many images and we really only get to see them at one level. They can zoom in, measure the size of the chang...

Re: Posting for my wife, MRI report 'May be MS'

not sure re helping, not being an mri tech. others may chime in. no restrictions re posting - it can be a bit of a pain though. you need to post it somewhere of your choosing online, make sure the image dimensions are reasonable, then link to the image(s) url in a post here. https://photos.app.goo....
