Suzq77 - was that risky to balloon not only your RIJV but the collateral as well given that the other side and your azygous were blocked too? Did the doctor think it was risky to interfere with the only blood drainage route and its collateral since treating the other side and your azygous had resul...

Re: What's the deal with stents?

Dr. S, I noticed in an earlier response on this thread you said, "I hate stents." Do you mind me asking why? After 2 venograms (1st to treat stenoses, 2nd to treat valves with larger balloons opened for longer) I restenosed - worse than ever - and all improvements regressed with a vengean...

I work from home, so that's not an issue. I have a pretty active social life, too. I use one crutch in the house and two outside for short distances (unless I'm having a bad day, then it's the walker). I have a scooter (w/a lift for my car) for longer distances and hand controls on my car so I can b...

It's pretty much just my legs - they're numb/tingly, weak, hyper-reflexive, spastic. Angioplasty for CCSVI has improved all of my other symptoms (and even the sympotms in my legs to a degree). Since the summer of 2006 I've been using either a wheeled walker or two forearm crutches for short distance...

what to do now?

Ok, here's my story (as truncated as possible). None of the doctors in Florida have IRB approval (except for maybe the one in WPB; not sure). Somebody gave out my doctors name (in Florida; don't feel comfortable getting more specific) and now he's concerned that he'll be shut down because they're booked out 6 weeks. If you'd like to find a doctor...

My doctor is on that list and did not know his name was going to be publicly shared. I have not publicly named him as a doctor that treats. He DOES NOT have IRB approval. If you contact him, please please please be discreet. Also, if anyone has posted his name in a list of treating doctors, please r...

Here's what he found on my MRV - my right sigmoid sinus (see this link; it's labeled "PARS SIGMOID": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gray488_blue.gif) is ALMOST COMPLETELY OCCLUDED - to the point where all of the blood is draining on the left side. He said it's something he can fix and ...
