I was going to ask about that very thing, glad you brought it up - Dake measures pressure gradients on each side of the stenoses, correct? Do people have those numbers? There is a skeptical cardiologist posting in the Globe and Mail comments, who is convinced this theory is baloney because 1) it wo...

Re: placebo

I Surgeries are strong placebos, actually the strongest they've tested in allopathic medicine This is true of course.... I'm going to Poland for the procedure but sometimes there's a nagging voice in my head which asks: Could all the positive results of the people who have been stented be due to a ...

Hi blitzi, ozar, I'm curious, when you say you have 20-40 lesions, what size do these lesions have? I have many small white dots that were called lesions but wasn't given a diagnosis of MS based on "dissemination in space", because only 1-3 of them are >3 mm. So I take it that a lesion ha...

Re: Number of lesions vs disability

My sleep went nuts and my vision went double in the summer of 2006. That fall my PCP sent me to get my first MRI and then lickety-split to the MS neuro. I was told I have 40 some lesions !!!! OMG OMG OMG !!! Double vision doesn't hurt it's just an annoyance. So I asked the neuro, how about my sleep...

Wikipedia entry: "[The sternocleidomastoid muscle] acts as an accessory muscle of inspiration , along with the scalene muscles of the neck." Here we go. Since discussing my scans with Dake I tried to figure out what the muscles around my stenosis are used for and found that they contract ...

Looks very close if not identical to the height of my narrowing. Hence I'm especially interested in the supposed cause. Can't find "sternogleinomastoideus muscle" on google. Did you come up with this possible cause, or one of your physicians? I find it interesting that the narrowing is at...

Blitzi... just wondering why the doc circled those areas of your jugulars in red if they are "normal"? They look a bit "different" to me, slightly hazy and pinched (but I'm not a doc) and in the final picture, there is a disconnect in the same area on the jugular on the right si...

Next move, getting MRV in Finland

Ok, So, I had no luck with Doppler, they just used neck doppler and cannot see anything. So I hit my head to wall little time and luckily found neurologist who was very interested about this CCSVI model. He schedule time for MRV scan on next wednesday. YA! He laughed that this might be new and hard ...

Doppler is done. Radiologist said that there is no problem on the neck area where he is able to get picture. He also said that with doppler he cannot get images from jugulars on c1-c3 area. So I guess that we got here exactly the same problem than in US/Stanford And he used only neck doppler, no tra...

Getting Doppler in Finland

Yeah, Surprise to me too, but I was in private sector clinic today visiting vascular surgeon. He was very sceptic first but I show him CCSVI article from Finnish MS-magazine and then we was able to speak the same language(maybe?) :D I made a cd-disc to him, full of CCSVI documents and pictures, all ...
