Arron, I understand. It's your website and as its publisher you have the absolute right to manage it as you see fit. I will withdraw from all participation here in any form, and you can run an ineffectual haven for alternative medicine promoters and their victims, complete with the requisite wild ch...

I find it interesting that I seem to have been deemed exempt from this board's rules against personal attack. I have not personally attacked anyone here. Not even CCMom. Came too close to the line with her and pulled back, but there was no personal attack. Yet, now I am being called plenty of things...

In the meantime, thought, the NMSS has made attempts to discredit both LDN and Prokarin. It's effect on LDN will be far less successful because the drug has gained so much attention and is used by so many people. But not until some clinical trials are done will there be scientific proof to silence ...

Harry, I think the Internet acts as a check on the influence of all kinds of organizations including the NMSS. If LDN works, or histamines work, or something else works, I really think it's impossible for anyone to squelch them to the degree that you've assumed. What really matters, though, is for a...

Kim, you're certainly within your rights to reject my apologies, but I'm sorry that you chose to do so. They were heartfelt and sincere, and the harshness of your response was wounding. I can't help but think that it must be nice to be perfect and thus have no need to utter the three most ego-deflat...

Harry, I am skeptical of LDN. It strikes me as a kind of homeopathic remedy and/or an anti-depressant masquerading as something more. I am further put off by the sweeping and unsubstantiated claims made for it. But it's cheap and it doesn't hurt, so I'm fine with it as long as someone isn't somehow ...

Two years on Avonex for me. I have known people on Betaseron for more than a decade. You might try posting this same question on this site, which gets more traffic than This Is MS does.

I think everyone has their own "formula" for dealing with the side effects. Most people people on the interferons find that the side effects diminish over time. The one thing I'd point out to you about Tylenol is that it has the potential to damage the liver, as does Avonex. For that reaso...

First things first. Harry, your wife's story is impressive. I'm glad she's doing this well, and I wish her all the best for the future. I can understand why you're so high on histamines and LDN. I guess the only comment I can offer is that the positive and factual approach works better than anything...

Reingold, who else?!! It was at a face to face meeting back in 2002. Like I said, it was very smoothly done and don't think for one minute that they haven't done that before. I know you won't believe the NMSS would be capable of doing such a thing. What "benefits" did Rheingold allegedly ...

when Elaine approached several pharmaceutical companies and asked if they were interested in working with Prokarin, one of the first questions they asked was not if it would ever work but "how much did you plan on charging for it?" When she told them somewhere around $ 250.00 a month they...

So far there hasn't been one person that has responded positively to the original question. Of course there are likely just as many people out there who have had much better results with Betaseron but the one comment from Nancy about the doctor not telling them all the possibilities I believe happe...

That makes me wonder: Do foot fetishists have more MS? And what about the reverse? Any feet people on the board? :D Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

Who's right and who's wrong? I suppose it depends on just where you may be as a researcher and who is employing you. This is why the integrity of the FDA is so important. I worry quite a bit about breaches in the FDA's integrity at the behest of the pharmaceutical companies. I am similarly apprehen...

Felly wrote:Alternative medicine is not necessarily quackery- there are quacks out there in mainstream medicine too.
I agree with both statements, but I do think people have much better odds with mainstream medicine.
