Man I hate to be the one to point out what I think is the obvious, but the pharmaceutical industry, including its drug pushing doctors, does not want to see one of its major cash cows (MS, a multi-billion dollar market) die a death as a result of it being exposed as a simple venous issue that can ea...

That's bloody interesting what Eve said. I do take lots of supplements and take a b-complex pill (with niacin) once a day - I have also noticed that I have had hot flushes (as you say lobster red, embarrassing really!) after taking my supplements all at once on an empty stomach, but never knew what ...

Thank you for your kind comments. I know not everyone has had a similar, or as positive an experience as me, but I have tried to give as accurate an account as I can. In light of what has happened, I now visualise my left jugular as a garden hose that has had a kink in it, which needs to be pumped h...

3 months post-liberation of skincoll!

Hi guys. I had the op done in Katowice on 9th June and decided not to post anything, or even visit this site for 3 months, so I could get on with my healing and give a more meaningful account of any changes, after I could be sure of them. I'll try not to make this post too long and boring too! I had...

I will be there 22nd to the 27th really looking forward to it,Witch is odd because I don't usually like even giving blood.A bit squeamish, but this doesn't seem to hold any fears for me. Long may it continue. Ooh, there IS lots of needleage involved! But you'll be fine - you'll get over your fear o...

I didn't have MS. I did have CCSVI. Now I have neither!

That's a pretty bold statement I know, but I believe it to be true. I'm back from Poland (by rail and boat, in the end, with veins intact!) and although I'm not feeling miraculously cured, I do feel different inside, and I feel that this is the start of the healing process now - I don't think the pr...

Day 4: Phew, well the procedure's done and dusted. 6 of us had it yesterday, 5 baloonings and one stenting. During the doppler, Simka said my left jugular had "no flow", and asked me how how I would feel about having a stent (which concerned me as I really hoped I could get away with just ...

Thanks for the message Zeureka! Day 2: Had the eye test this morning and I have "nothing to worry about", so they said. All 'green', and no problems with nerve damage. So all that double/blurry vision may not have been optic neuritis. I feel very lucky, as some of the other patients had lo...

We got to Krakov very easily on Easyjet! Kris (top bloke!)was at the airport ready to take us to Katovice in a nice silver Mercedes people carrier! The journey was only 40mins on a motorway. The hotel is decent enough and we're on the 22nd floor, so we have a good view over the city. I went up to in...

Thanks for this info. Of course sat fats in junk food are really bad for you, but what about in organic nuts, seeds, flaxseed oil, avocados etc.? Are there such things as good saturated fats, or should they all be strictly limited/avioded? Anyone know?

I'll be at the bar!
It's hard to pronounce properly. For me anyway. I am a teacher and I have a few Polish students who I've been tapping up for useful phrases - they have generally found my best efforts hilarious!

Thanks all y'all, Arrived in Katowice what seemed to be last night, but I am lost in time and space. The polar flight at this time of year means that it never got dark at all, so my circadian rhythm never had a chance to reset. Arrived in Krakow expecting to be picked up, but nobody was there...
