Also remember that this can only check the Jugular between the jaw and the collar bone, there are a lot of other sites where stenosis could occur so maybe an offer for referal for a venogram is not as ludicrous as it sounds. The 'gold standard' according to Dr Zamboni is a venogram. The doppler can...

I'm one of the ones who had a negative result. What can I say? :( I've had MS for 7+ years!! During my consultation, the GP tried to sell me LDN and a multi-vitamin. 'Cross-selling' is surely wrong. And then lastly said maybe I would like to be refered anyway for a (non-existent) venogram? What did ...

Hi LSITC,

That's interesting that the good Dr's first interest was with drug addicts because LDN was first used on drug addicts. Now he prescribes it to MS patients. He's obviously a good business man

Livabird, I missed joining the waiting list until it was too late and the list was sooo long it went into 2011 in Poland. It appears that if you have CCSVI, Essential Health will be able to refer you onto another clinic for angioplasty. They have an agreement with a clinic close by. Admittedly the s...

Hi LSITC, I must admit Dr Gilhooley seems to be in to making profits as a retired GP. However it isn't him doing the scans. He owns the clinic and has recruited a radiologist to do the work. This radiologist has been trained to look for CCSVI. Being on their mailing list isn't enough. You have to go...

Awol, There is a pressure group and they handed a petition into Downing Street last week http://www.facebook.com/notes/ms-ccsvi-uk/ms-ccsvi-uk-delivers-ccsvi-campaign-to-downing-street/10150158830455713 And a private clinic in Glasgow is doing Doppler scanning and possible referal on to have angiopl...

Just a small point re costs to the NHS of people having MS. The government gives a budget to each local PCT (Primary Care Team). The PCT then carves the money up. Hospitals have agreements with PCTs and charge them for individual consultations that they have had with patients. PCTs also pay for trea...

Hi Everyone, Hope you can help. I have been watching this forum with avid interest without posting for a few weeks now. All of a sudden I feel that I can start to take action. I read yesterday someone's suggested letter to Vascular Surgeons and IRs but I can't find it this morning. Does anyone remem...
