You really need to do more research on CCSVI. The stents are placed in veins for CCSVI, not arteries as the other stents you mention have been placed before. I guess I was unclear Jay. I was trying to find out if vascular problems are a harbinger of MS. I have read quite a lot on ccsvi in the past ...

simple answer to a simple question.

Has anyone run across any meta-data on the outcomes of patients who have had stents then later developed MS. There are literally millions who have been treated for vascular problems via stents and angio. How do their numbers relate to the general population?

neuros expertise?

My freshman year roommate in college went on to become a neuro and I gotta say...not the sharpest tool in the shed. Hell of a nice guy and worked at his studies day n night though. I keep reading posts saying my neuro said this and my neuro said that, but what we all have to remember that these guys...

MRI Evidence of efficacy?

Anyone have any insight to share with respect to mri results and how they are compare with ccsvi pt's?

Maybe there is a post I missed, it seems like a pretty fundamental question.

plumbing problems

My BP is all over the board. One time I was low on the L arm and very high on the right. There may just be something to this plumbing thing. At least they are looking that direction anyway. I will probably be long gone when they finally figure it out but oh well, the Millstones of clinicaltrials tur...

K this is strange. I have many come n go symptoms but the ringing in the ears is pretty much non-stop as is light-headedness. The veins in my neck pound so much that when I am sitting still the bump..bump actually moves my head. In fact I even thought at one time I was suffering from.. http://www.ma...

coincidence?

May I ask how you "see" your veins. Like can you see the color or are the bulging out like The Incredible Hulks. During relapses the veins on either side of my head blow up to like little balloons. Also late at night my heart pounds like a drum and I can hear the whoosh in my ears and can ...

Bad venous genes?

From my dads side I get the ms loving anglo genes (scots, welsh) and from my moms side I was blessed with terrible vascular problems. No cancer but all 9 of my aunts and uncles have followed a distinct pattern; stents by the age of 50 then strokes by the age of 60. I am not quite sure who to blame m...

Terrible news.

I am a faithful follower of Loobies blog. In fact whenever I need a little "pick-me-up" I often will read his posts. Unfortunately it seems things are headed in the wrong direction for him currently. I will let his words speak for himself... http://myhopefuljourneyintoactualmsrecovery.blog...

SIDS and ms, unclear etiologies, clear therapies?

An anesthesiologist once told me that, given all we know about chemistry and physics, no one really truly understands how or why certain drugs put someone to sleep. He told me he learned in med school it was one part pharmacology and 3 parts trial and error. This knowledge gap really hasn't seemed t...

CCSVI Losing steam?

After I put my girls to bed at night,I usually spend a couple of hours browsing the web looking for info on ms. I read about new treatments, therapies, etc. Recently, CCSVI seems to have exploded onto the scene. I became really excited reading the blogs and watching you-tube videos of all the people...

Where are all the clinical trials?

I live here in the states and occasionally wander over to the .gov website which lists all the clinical trials both active and completed. Given the recent buzz about ccsvi, I really expected much more in the way of research. I did a search and could only come up with one small study. I also did a br...
