CeCe or anyone - Could I get your theory on this issue? In regard to permanent damage - I am thinking (hoping) that since Tommy has had those moments of walking so well, maybe that is an indicator that he has not realized permanent damage in that area. He has, after all, had MS for about 30 years! Y...

Hi Newlywed, Well, I failed to tell the doctor about the moments of "good" that he had because I sent the email this morning and he happened to have another one today. So, he didn't get the full story. I just told him about the waning of symptoms and he said "classic restenosis and yo...

Restenosis or Not????

Hope someone with experience can give their opinion on this matter. Husband had procedure 6 weeks ago. Saw moderate but notable improvement in leg strength, energy and cognition. Saw significant improvement in bladder retention. No improvement in gait. Now over the last 3 weeks, the improvements are...

Loobie,

Thanks for your comment. I was so hoping that the treatment would relieve this. I guess it's possible that it could improve at some point. It's just hard to stay motivated to exercise when you pay a price afterward. I will tell Tommy to try to find a balance. Thanks again.

Thanks CeCe - I would say no, even small amounts have the same effect on him. It's not worse than before, just not improved.

Thanks Jimmy Legs - no, we haven't checked those things. Will look at those links.

muscles still stiff after exercise - anybody else?

My husband had angioplasty about a month ago. He has seen some moderate improvements with mood, leg strength, energy and cognition and some impressive improvements with headaches and bladder issues. However, when he exercises, his legs are so stiff and sore that he has trouble walking for a day or s...

CureOrBust - Are you sure that is all he will be using? I guess all docs are different, but my husband was given light sedation to keep him in a twilight state as you have to be awake enough to perform certain tasks such as hold your breath, etc. He was also given pain medicine and was told that if ...

Yay adamt!!!!!!!!!!!! Try to be patient - it's hard I know. Don't freak out if you have some "not so great days" thrown in there too. I believe it will be a bit of a roller coaster ride, but as long as the line keeps going up slightly - it's good. Husband is 10 days from procedure and seei...

Bad Copy - It's good that your expectations are realistic - you don't want to be devastated in case you don't see results. But I wanted to share a little about my husband's experience as it is similar to yours. He was diagnosed in 1992 and had symptoms for about 5 years before that. His liberation w...

So happy for you Kuly! My husband was also liberated on that same day! He has had MS for over 30 years. His results are somewhat subtle too, but I was so excited tonight when I realized that he did not pick up his leg to get into my car!!!! The important thing is that you seem to have had some respo...

I hope I can help with the insurance questions. My husband is to undergo venogram and hopefully angioplasty this Tuesday in Florida. I asked the doctor to provide me with the testing codes for the procedure. I called my insurer and they told me that these procedures were covered. These are the proce...
