Re: Mobility Scooter or Electric Wheelchair

I have a 3 wheel scooter similar to the one you linked to. It works well on pavement but is tippy on the lawn. I think all 3 wheel scooters have that problem. I flipped mine twice.

I haven't tried a power wheelchair but it looks like they are considerably more expensive.

Re: strong evidence about EBV involvement

Are any organizations doing research on a vaccine for this? Thanks to Trump's Operation Warp Speed the Covid vaccine was developed in 9 months whereas it usually takes up to ten years to develop a vaccine. Could that same strategy be used to develop one for the EBV virus? That would be fantastic!

Moderna vaccine

My wife and I got the 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine for Covic19 yesterday. I'm having soreness in the shoulder at the injection site. That was minor. But today I'm feeling very weak. This is much worse than the 1st shot. It was a struggle getting out of bed. Just for the record I have the PPMS var...

Re: PPMS & SPMS are qualitatively indistinguishable

I'm not sure what they mean by "qualitatively indistinguishable". The simple way to tell is this: If you had relapses and remissions in the past but no longer have them and you have a continuous progression of disability then you probably have secondary progressive. If you never had relaps...

Re: Caring for the disabled or elderly

NHE You're right about that. I do seem to be progressing more rapidly especially now that the weather is cold and I don't get outside much. And I am spending more time sitting on my posterior instead of exercising. So I'm starting to ride the exercise bike now. Also I'll see if my doctor will prescr...

Caring for the disabled or elderly

Ever since I was Dxed with MS I've thought about what my final years would be like. Now I'm 71 and I need a walker to get around. My wife is 69 and has arthritis. It would not be fair to put the burden of caring for me on her. I also have no desire to spend my final years in a nursing home nor would...

BTW This is just my opinion but I think the people who obstructed the use of hydroxychloroquine may have cost the lives of thousands of people. This is akin to murder. They should be held accountable.

I am someone who is normally leery of such things for fear someone with evil intentions might be able to take control of my body. But I would do this in a heartbeat.

Re: COVID-19: Outpatient 5 day treatment

He said he has been treating patients since last Thurday so that means maybe a week at most. That's not enough time to draw any conclusions. That's not convincing. However there are other studies that show positive results for hydroxychloroquine. The problem now is you can't get it. I asked my docto...

For the record I should mention the other things I'm doing which seem to help:

No caffeine
Cut down on salt and sugar.

Re: Baclofen- friend or foe?

I've been taking Neuro-Mag Magnesium L-Threonate 144mg at bedtime since 7/25/20. It seems to be working. I'm having much less trouble w/ spasms than before. And I reduced the dose from the recommended 144 mg to 96 mg. Also reduced the dose of baclofen from 40mg to 30.
