Re: Switching from Tysabri to Gilenya

They have to check also if you have antibodies of the chicken pox prior starting Gilenya. I did the switch 4 months ago and I feel great. I didn't have a relapse, even if the efficancy is lower than Tysabri (50% vs 70% for Tysabri). I was too scared of the PML risk. This one is much safer. I always ...

Re: Gilenya, after Tysabri and CCSVI procedure

We get blood test for Gilenya to detect possible infections, but I guess it isn't 100%. Gilenya is less effective than Tysabri (reduces relapses by 50% vs 70% for Tysabri), but safer health wise. For me, it is for sure THE med that works "for me". No side effects at all, and energy + balan...

Good! Did he decided staying on MS drugs because of his walking? Even today, I wondered if it's really necessary.... Because of that, my neuro thinks my improvements are link to my drugs and not the procedure. Funny though, I was on my 3 months break of Tysabri when I had my procedure, and I improve...

I've been taking Gilenya for a bit less than 2 months, so it's pretty new. My condition was stable before taking it and remains stable... so I didn't notice any other improvements, since I don't have other problems than fatigue... As for being afraid of side effects, Tysabri was much more worse... S...

Gilenya, after Tysabri and CCSVI procedure

Hi! I've been on Tysabri for 2 years, got my CCSVI treatment 11 months ago and now, I switched from Tysabri to Gilenya. First, I have to say I decided staying on MS drugs, even after my CCSVI intervention. Not because I felt I needed them, because my neurologist insisted and Dr.Zamboni himself ask p...

Caught that on FB "I saw one mexican clinic advertising that they use the anti-restenosis drug impregnated balloons. maybe that is what they mean. Dr Ponec in San Diego said he is going to be a beta test site for those balloons soon. They are not yet FDA approved, but are approved and used in E...

ISNVD meeting in March

Hello there ;)

I saw on the web page of the conference: http://www.isnvdannualmeeting.org/
that it states "satellite courses"....

Wouldn't that be a good way to get local IR interested & involved without actually be there? Is this the purpose?
