There are nice and simple pictures here: http://www.rp.pl/galeria/9138,399689.html
It is from a Polish newspaper.
You do not have to understand the text.

Hi Erika always good to hear from you! This is good that you are attempting such courageous steps...

I took the liberty if you don't mind of doing a simple google translator

<shortened url>

of the page.

New treatment of old diseases
The procedure takes about an hour and is carried out with local anesthesia. . Generates the greatest difficulty for surgeons to find veins in which there is narrowing. In its course of treatment reminds angioplasty (widening of blood vessels) performed in patients with atherosclerosis. The risk of complications is similar to that of other operations. The sooner treatment is carried out when the brain damage is not too great, the better. Image

That's so great to have an article like that from Poland! Is that something that was published in a newspaper or is only online??

Oh, Mark, thank you. It is much better now.
I really do not know if it was only on-line or printed.

Hi Erika,
I am from the UK and my research in CCSVI brought me to this forum, where I have been following your progress! I am so pleased that you are doing well! :D

I have had RRMS for 10 years and am keen to have this procedure done as soon as possible!
I think its great the amount of support and encouragement you and others have had from this forum!

I am supposed to contact Dr Simka next week, so hopefully I can get an appointment soon.
Take cae

For sure at least in this case.
Only now I am thinking how risky it was to have TV there. What if something went wrong?
It was more entertainment for me than a procedure in hospital.
I had nice dream this night about the nurses there.

Maybe: "Happy go lucky?"

Day 30 report.

I am 30 days after my procedure in Katowice, Poland.

All the improvements I had remained. I want to say, nothing went worse.
I am happy Dr. Simka, Dr. Ludyga, Dr. Kazibudzki and Dr. Swierad helped me so much.

- my brain fog is little bit better but not gone completely
- my fatigue is maybe even gone completely and 90% better bladder (no more pushing with my hands to empty it), 70% better feeling to faint
- I have much more energy
- my pulse is normal (too fast heart beating) I do not take the pills anymore
- 15% better vision but only when I look far, the text is as bad as before
- much better heat tolerance, I have noticed I am sweating instead of having problems with heat
- faster movements, more confident while walking, my walking is for sure better, I was even able to walk 50 meters without my cane - but under perfect conditions - empty street, no talking, just straight - my legs were strong enough
- my muscles on my legs are still weak, if I train more and the muscles get stronger I would even be able to walk more than 100 meters without cane
I think I am weak because of not doing much for the last 5 years - mainly sitting.

My headache is better thanks to the inclined bed therapy and my nausea in the morning as well.

I still feel little bit drunk, I still have little problems with vertigo, my short term memory and my cognitive functions. I also have urgent bladder but not very often during the day - never during the night.

I had the biggest improvements during the first couple of days, now I have feeling it is getting better but slowly every day.
I am sure id does not go worse.
I still have 30 (40 mg) Clexane injections. I do not have any problem at all with that. I inject very slowly by myself.
My next check up is in January 2010 in Katowice, Poland.

Questions?

Erika

Thanks for the update.

Foreverspring has reported exactly the same improvements that you have reported using the inclined bed method alone.

She has not received any surgery, yet now is able to go on hikes in the Rocky mountains.

If this was just one case it could of course be a coincidence, but it is not a single case, there are many more people who have reported the same improvements, particularly sight improvements ms and non-ms related.

Dr. Claude Franceschi- Director of the Paris Hospital Vascular lab spoke next on the Hemodynamic Factors of CCSVI ... He believes the answer to CCSVI may lie in postural therapy, or a direct change in pressure via the Liberation technique or stenting.

Hola, Pepe!

- Doppler, MRV in my case also OCT - as I have problem with my vision
I do not know yet how often I should go there.

It takes me only 8 hours to get there so it is not that bad.
I am lucky Dr. Simka exsists and they do it in Poland.

Nice reading
Thank you for your information Marc,

I must tell you and to all people that in this case I was not courageous at all.
I did not like the feeling to run around with my broken vein and MS. It was just easy escape to run for the procedure.
I knew the procedure was not dangerous. To live with such a vein was dangerous :!:
It is typical for me. Like in 1989 before the revolution. I was scared to live in communism so I illegally escaped to Austria. I was only 16 but it was easier to escape than to live in such a country. So when I am scared I escape.
I do not think I am strong person. I am actually very fragile.
