Lobbie, its nice to meet another audioslave fan here on TMS
!
From Soundgarden I do actually only know "Black Hole Sun", which is a very great song ideed. Could you possibly be so kind to recommend something like a short "best of" songlist from them, so I would have an easier startingpoint?
Another song I do really like is: Placebo and David Bowie - Without You I'm Nothing.

Heck yes, I love music and loved Soundgardens' unique sound. When I found that youtube for Show Me How To Live it was from a guy's page that had about every Soundgarden song, so I'll put together a list of my favorites. Black Hole Sun is good, but it was just the most commercial, the "B" side stuff from them is awesome to me. I'll get to it after work today.
i don't know the single b-sides BUT perhaps should have a look..
as for the discography:
1988 Ultramega OK
1989 Louder Than Love
1991 Badmotorfinger
1994 Superunknown
1996 Down on the Upside
i only knew about them from badmotorfinger on but you can start with the whole rest of the superunknown album if you want to start with the black hole sun album
i like most of these tracks, i guess especially my wave, fell on black days, head down, spoonman, day i tried to live, she likes surprises...
could check out badmotorfinger, another commercially successful album which i like better than superunknown.. it was my first ;) and still holds a special place in my heart.. jesus christ pose at lollapalooza.. yikes
on wiki i ran across some badmotorfinger b-sides loobie probably knows well:
The album's singles featured eleven B-sides from the Badmotorfinger recording sessions that weren't included on the album, "Stray Cat Blues", "Into the Void (Sealth)", "Cold Bitch", "I Can't Give You Anything", "Girl U Want", "Show Me", "I Don't Care About You", "Can You See Me", "Homicidal Suicidal", "Touch Me", and "She's a Politician".
also check out temple of the dog ... maybe the 'singles' soundtrack (maybe not in terms of the soundgarden contribution actually) and.. straying a little outside the soundgarden boundaries... dare i say it... mother love bone...

OK Frank,
Jimmy set the table with all of those killer albums!! Out of all of those, Superunknown is my favorite.
So here are some of the ones from that album, and a few others! Soundgarden needs to get back together!!!!!
Fell on Black Days
Pretty Noose
Outshined
Black Hole Sun
this one is a live version; couldn't find the studio
The Day I tried to Live
<shortened url>
Burden In My Hand - I really like this one
Now if that's not enough to get you to go out and purchase "Superunknown" I don't know what will!!

This may not be "good music", but relates to music. About year ago we bought old piano so my wife could practise some songs. She has played some when she was little girl. First she had to learn notes to play. In my ear (which is not music-ear
) she performed songs quite well with short practise.
I have also tried to practise, but as 40 yrs old, never played, no talent - its been real difficult. But, don't mind - it's my "brain-workout".
Recorded this with my nokia-cellphone. Listen, if you like to torture your ears.
I really spoiled this nice, innocent song
