I've been reading here for a while, but I joined so I could post what has helped my cognition problems the most: Aricept. It's an alzheimer medicine. It's great stuff, and it has saved me on the cognition front.

I, too, had problems making my words flow. On occasion I would even have long pauses between sylables. Sometimes I had a "pseudo-stutter;" meaning that I would start a word, realize that I would not be able to enunciate the rest of the word, and then would just start over, planning ahead the full enunciation of the word.

I think of Aricept as my "word pill." (Generic is donepezil.)

I'm reading the boards and figuring out which supplements I should be using, diet modifications, etc.

But for signinficant cognition problems, Aricept can be a game-changer.

I'm a little late to reply i think but yeah Austin i have serious memory problems, for example when my MS really sparked and was really bad i couldn't walk, i had to be moved to a room for constant survalance because i'd forget i couldn't walk nand try to get out of bed and collapse and wonder whats going on, and i'd repeat the same things over and over and over again, honestly can't remember this it's just what i' ve been told by family.

Glad to see this thread. This is my first day here and I have not been diagnosed but got a bad feeling, first test (EMG) tomorrow.

I can't remember little words, something like a shower head....I grasp for words but all that will come out is "that thing in the tub at the top that water comes out of".
