Hey Arti...
You share the RLS/spasms nightmare with Jeff, too.
He tried ECEG/Green tea last week. I got it for fatigue, but his spasms really quieted down. He didn't even kick me last night :)

Jeff takes Natural Calm, baclofen, curcumin, serrapeptase, mag/zinc/calcium and now green tea- especially for spasms.
Exercise helps, but not right away, usually the day after.
Hope you find something to take the edge off.

Strange!!! I notice this often. When I am working on my computer or reading some of "Robbie's" humor, my RLS doesn't exists. It is when I am not concentrating or just sitting doing nothing that is when it acts up the worst.

When I am reading or concentrating it's gone.

I wonder what part of the mind controls this. Why can't they come up with a cure for such a nasty little problem? When I am at rest, before bed, my legs go crazy, but if I am concentrating then things are fine?
This pisses me off!!

Of all the crap we are willing to inject into our system to suppress MS, why would you ever hesitate to try the MJ route? I would say over 50% of my local group medicates with MJ and the comments are overwhelmingly positive. I have cut down my prescription meds dramatically. The thought of filling my system with prescription meds forever isn't acceptable. I should add that I am in a "Legal MJ' state with a license.
Take Good Care,

Wanted to kick start this thread, since we have a new member, Ursula, who is in the Berlin trial and pretty sure she is getting the real EGCG deal.

I started Jeff on 600mg. of green tea extract, and he is doing quite well...has better energy throughout the afternoon, (his tough time)- and has quieter spams and better rest at night. Lots of new information on EGCG's affects on blood vessel integrity and thrombosis. Interested in this, since Jeff has "sticky blood" which has been contributing to fatigue and pain.

Arti,
Over the course of a couple years, I can't even remember. Neurontin (sp?) and about 3 other versions of it, 2 different sleep meds to get past spasms and rls, a few prescription pain meds, even morphine at one point. I quit it all and became a user/abuser of Soma, a muscle relaxer and the only thing that seemed to help. After nearly a year of it my intake probably tripled. I am told by my Neuro it is highly addictive but I really didn't care. Using MJ I rarely do Soma at this point but strangely today was one of those days. Every thing in moderation I suppose.

I have taken the nuerotin(sp) highway myself and all of it's relatives too. I take the occasional codeine (if available), but rarely. I now take lyrica 2-3 times a day. It seems to help, but I would like to stop taking it completely. I did take soma along time before. It was even before my DX. That is a very powerful and addicting drug. Some quack dr. I saw wrote me a script for like 300 x 3 times. I filled it once and only took about 20 or so. It made me drowsy and irritable. thanks lars , Later arti
