Dear Malus,

If you read the MS sticky tracking thread, Erika goes to Poland thread and the going to Poland thread, you will find lots on Dr. Simka and his excellent work.

Dr Simka

Hi Malus,
Dr Simka does eventually reply to emails. State your position clearly in a few words, ask for what you want and be patient. There is a waiting list now for treatment so it is not going to happen tomorrow.
If you want more information (anything I have collected) send me a private message and I will sent it to you.

CCSVI

Good afternoon TiMS,
I've just taken my last Clexane injection :D On returning home our post had arrived.I was greated by a letter from my NEURO. :D i taught. Not :( .Enclosed was a letter from him.

Dear Mr ???????,
I have been sent Form E112 for completion.Part of this request is that i sign it & that the treatment abroad has been recomended by me.Since i know nothing about the proposed treatment i am obviously not in a position to recommend it.When we spoke on the phone it wasn't clear to me that the treatment was a recognised treatment for multiple sclerosis.
Yours sincerely
???????

Q:Can anyone see a problem in the way that THE ABOVE line is worded?

He said to me a few days before i departed for my procedure, that he would SORT IT OUT & he actually listened to me when i spoke about CCSVI

Happy New Year to all of you wonderful people!

Isn't it wonderful to have hope? Even if this all turned out to be unfounded (not that I think it will be), this last 5 weeks or so of having true hope and better understanding of the disease has been incredible.

Happy New year to you too... I agree HOPE is essential. And mostly there is little hope for MS patients, and this makes so much sense even if we don't have a vast knowledge and experience base behind us. Some of us don't have the luxury of time to wait for the experience to become available.

Babiezuique, Pleased that you have found some support at last, 10 years is a long time to struggle on your own with this disease.
I hope that 2010 brings you some good things... Health, Hope and Happiness.

Thank you for good news!
I know Dr. Kostecki. He is young as well and very nice. He was doing my Doppler with Dr. Simka in August 2009 in Tychy.
In case somebody goes ther I can advise you Hotel Arena - close to hospital. It is a new, nice 3 stars hotel. Both reception girls spoke good English. Of course you can take taxi to hospital. The hotel does not have stairs - they have rooms on the ground floor as well. When you do your booking ask for it.

When I was there I paid about 42 Euro for single room with breakfast.
If some of you go there, please say hi to Dr. Kostecki from me.
Town Tychy is close to Katowice.

Good Morning TiMS,
DAY 19
*********************Positive OR Negative*************************

I woke up this Morning @ 7.45am This is normal for me as i'm an early bird.My Mrs(ANNA) was still asleep. So i deceided to have a shave. The left side of my face was no problem,so i continued on.PROBLEM i could not shave under my lock's as i could not see where to put the razor :? I tried a few more times but to no avail :? ,so i deceided to stop as my pupil was moving much slower. In 1987 after a freak accident i lost the sight in my right eye(Detached Retina) so i'm a little lost at the moment.Time is a great healer so i'll remain very +POSITIVE+ as the procedure has/is working.

Good afternoon TiMS

I just finished having a shave,ALL BY MYSELF :D There's an improvement in my right eye.I've not been out side the house in the last few week's as the weather is freezing & i'm affraid that the cold might affect my eye & that i might fall with the freezing conditions. My balance has really improved.I can't wait for this cold spell of weather to go so Anna & myself can get out & have a real walk. It's like been in prision :( my house is driving me crazy.
