CCSVI in Slovakia

Post by Dovechick »

Erika, wonderful... You will soon have a centre for diagnosis and treatment up and running in Slovakia, all thanks to your efforts.

Medical Tourism

Post by Poppy »

Erika is there anyone at Tomasz Ludyga's office who speaks English? There's a phone number on the web site http://www.euromedic.com.pl/index.php?m=8 but I've felt funny about calling and asking if anyone speaks English in the office.

You could probably translate for people, but I realize you are getting overwhelmed with people contacting you.

Have you ever thought of going into the medical tourism business and setting up appointments for people?

I once read a post by a woman who stated she had an unsuccessful In Vitro Fertilisation treatment in the US for $10,000. She said she went to Poland for the same treatment, paid $800, and the treatment was successful.

That means it would probably make more sense for people in the US to go on a vacation to Poland or Slovakia to receive the Liberation Treatment than to have it done here in the US.

What would probably be an added benefit, is doctors in Poland and Slovakia appear to be more willing to listen.

If you just have more doctor information you could share, that would be great too.

Dear Poppy,
- I am sorry but I really do not know if anybody in Dr. Ludyga`s office speak English. I have always only been in contact with Dr. Simka.
- well, maybe I am not that far from medical tourism business as I studied hotel and spa management + MBA, but I am really not able to work yet. However I prefer to live in Austria. Of course, it is possible. Who knows. I know about women from Germany going to the Czech Republic for the in vitro fertilisation. It is cheaper but moreover the chances are higher. I would definitelly be nice job to help people this way.
- For sure, in case I have more information I will let you know!

My story is public. You can find it in the printed MS magazine and online as well.
Dr. Valasek - radiologist wrote about CCSVI, Dr. Schelling, Dr. Zamboni, Bologna in September 2009, Dr. Dake, Dr. Simka, Buffalo, MR and about me as well.
It is only in slovak language.

Google Translate doesn't always do the best job, but it works well enough. Thank you for the article. This is really neat. You have become a global MS celebrity :D

Famous

Post by Dovechick »

Excellent Erika, I got the gist of it from the translation. You were famous before but now you are a superstar...
I hope you are doing well and that your check up goes well, we will be missing you by 10 days as Ella is going to Poland on the 16th Feb.

I know Dr. Simka is the contact but we have been unable to reach them. Do you have any suggestions.
I think all of us who have been in contact with Dr Simka simply e-mailed him. He seems to be very busy, of course, but if he is interested, I am sure he will respond to you in time.

Do you know any polish speakers?

Post by Dovechick »

If you have an acquaintance who speaks polish you might try to phone them. I think this is a good idea, but I don't think the doctors have the time to deal with this.
If you don't have the phone number send me a private message and I will get it for you.

I need little help.
Of course I read often Dr. Haacke`s web sites.
I often see this name there: Jan Sedlacik. It is extremely typical Slovak name. It is as typical as the word Slovakia.
Last time I saw it here: http://www.mrimaging.com/images/website ... nglish.pdf
In case some of you knows who he is and where he is (he is a man for sure), please let me know.
Thank you!

Oh, I just found him:
http://www.mrt.uni-jena.de/Jan-Sedlacik.38.0.html
He is with Dr. Reichenbach in Jena.
As soon as they do somewhere in Slovakia MRI-SWI to me to detect iron deposits in my brain I will try to send it there. Maybe I am lucky again.

I started in that hospital only in September last year.
As it is very fresh and not really public yet I will inform you later of course.
But I am like this 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Amazing

Post by Dovechick »

Amazing, and mostly down to your efforts I imagine. We are trying very hard here in UK to get something going, and I think it is working but it is very slow...
Look forward to hearing your news

Hi Ericka/all
I'm sorry if this request is in the wrong
place but I would like to find out another
European doctor who can perform the test using
the correct protocols. It seems as though Slovakia
can do the tests but I can't find a mail address. I contacted
Dr Simka and Dr Godzinski before Christmas but still
haven't had a reply.
Thanks Darren

Well, we really must wait 2-3 weeks for Slovakia and then until March.
I think after March/Italy the doctors in Slovakia will know more and will be able to give some contact.
I am really sorry but I really can not say more at the moment.
