Tomorrow is the day the IRB meets, so they'll be deciding whether to give Dr. Sclafani's trial the go-ahead.

Hello all,

Just thought to mention that there is no way Sclafani, while with Zamboni, does not have internet access...they all have computers with internet. He's most likely way to immersed to post right now.

Today is a BIG day. I'm sure Dr. Sclafani has computer access ... but he also needs to focus on studying ... and (though I don't want to speak for him in any way) he doesn't want to give us hope and the IRB not respond in the way he seems to think they will (approval) today.

He has said there are 2 scenarios where the treatment will be allowed to start immediately, 1 scenario where treatment will be pushed month-to-month until approval, and 1 scenario where the IRB outright rejects CCSVI.

Let's not forget Dr. Sclafani is a researcher, author of papers, author of textbooks, getting him involved in CCSVI will change text books one day ... maybe we should all go out and read his resume today ... this is a great man who knows what he is talking about.

I hope we hear something soon ...

In my mind, I envision Holly and Dr S having a space-age office whereas when they get IRB approval TODAY, all they have to do is push a big green button and the ball starts rolling :D

It would be nice to see a "bat symble" or something flash across the sky ...

perhaps a guy on the mountain tops in europe somewhere with one of those long pipe/tube things bellowing ZAMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONI .... SLAFAAAAAAAAAAAANI ...

I have a feeling it's going to happen today though. Dr. Sclafani has done an incredible amount of preparation in order for this submission to be well received. I personally saw the treatment plan - as a few weeks back he asked for volunteers to review his submission.

I don't see how any reasonable doctor could find unacceptable risk in it ... My bet is he's back to plumbing in the coming weeks (and I don't think he could be happier about it).

I mean really ... you don't think he'd waste time and resources going to see Dr. Zamboni IN Italy WITH his staff IF he didn't believe this was going to happen right? He might have been born at night ... but it wasn't last night.

He's been practicing medicine long enough to be fairly certain what's going to happen here methinks.

IRB Proposal

WHEN the IRB approves my proposal, I will post it on my website and will move transparently and let the chips fall where they may.

my proposal calls for reangioplasty for the first episode of restenosis and consider a stent for a subsequent restenosis. AT that time the patient falls out of protocol.

Thus i should start writing my next protocol now for submission to the IRB
eh?
Does Dr. S mean this website or another ?

Thx

What a guy, I don't know who has more devoted fans than Dr. S. Does anyone have any ideas on what we could do for him to show our appreciation for his efforts? If you do PM me, I will try to get something going.

We are ready to be in NYC in 3 hours............Dr. Sclafani had said to John when I am back up and running, when can you be here............uh it takes us 3 hours to NYC. We are so there when we get the word!! Here is hoping for some good news really soon.
