PML risk goes down after 3 years. Anybody else heard this?
I had my blood drawn to check for the JCV antibody. I was told that the results are coming back 50/50, but that there is evidence that the patients who have been on Tysabri for 3+ years are almost all testing negative. Has anyone come across literature supporting this?

The big problem involving PML and Tysabri use is the fact that there really isn't much data available beyond the 3 year mark for Tysabri users.DenverCO wrote:I had my blood drawn to check for the JCV antibody. Until such time as any long term data can be analysed, we have to rely on what Biogen tells us from their data.
You may want to read this update on PML. One point I noted was the fact that not finding any JCV virus in your spinal fluid does not exclude the possibility of getting the disease.
