Hints for Double Vision?
When I had double vision it lasted in total for about a month but started to correct itself within a couple of weeks. I had to get a pair of glasses with a prism on one lens to correct it. I couldn't walk with the glasses on, they seemed to affect my depth perception, but I wore them while working and driving (I closed one eye when walking, usually hidden behind my sunglasses). I don't know of any exercises to help things along, mine just corrected on its own over time...although when it was starting to correct I noticed it was harder to get clear vision as the day went on and I got tired.
I, too, had slight prisms put in my glasses and it corrected the problem, for the most part. I have less of an issue with my contacts. However, I do notice that I have more of a double vision problem when my eyes are tired. Do you notice if your vision is affected differently at cetain times of the day or evening?

I had a bad bout of it for several weeks two years ago - it very gradually resolved, taking nearly two months to go away. In the midst of it, I was beginning to feel it would never go away, as it was constant. I discovered, belatedly, that my glasses from the late 1990s already had prisms in the lenses and those from early 1990s did not. I was very nearsighted anyway, so slight double vision at a distance must have only shown up on the exam and the late 90s doc put prisms in without really communicating that to me. I have the same prescription that I had in the late 1990s. I am now having more trouble focusing my near vision with my glasses on. Whether that is MS acting up or just getting older, I don't know.
Good luck and may it all resolve! Keep us posted.
