My hope is for him. Our daughter, 21 yrs old, told me the other day that she wished he could regain something back, some. We know of people that still get around pretty well who are over the 55 age mark. She said that she knows it is bad for them, but they have, for the most part, lived a normal life. She just wants to see him a little better off. She doesn't remember much of him without the MS.
Gary never just dragged a leg or had a little set back in the earlier days of his disease. He would be paralyzed for weeks at a time. I have watched him stand for 10 seconds from a WC because that is all he could stand. And he would do it over and over. Back then, there was no therapy. No home health. I just don't know that I would have been as good or persistant as him. And he keeps such a good outlook. Many times, I don't.
