I have just joined and this is my first post!
I have had MS since Christmas 2000 and only recently been really working with it. I suffered a downturn in 2003 and put it down to my crazy life, wasn't until I couldn't push myself anymore I started hearing and seeing all the obvious signs. So I gave up work 3 weeks ago and signed up for a life coaching course, moved in with my boyfriend and have had time to read great books about MS. Prof Jelinek's 'Taking Control of MS' is fantastic and I can't praise it enough.. BUT I get distracted!!!
What was meant to be writing is: My homeopathist has recently advised me about Glyconutrients. These sound amazing and really helpful apart from to my bank balance!! I am rather reluctant to try as I have recently started a massive supplement regime, but if anyone has tried them and found them amazing, please, please let me know!
Anyone with any experience with Glyconutrients?

It would be really nice to be able to put links in here
If I have included a bad link, google the word "Scholar", click link for "Google Scholar". Search for the name of the paper and author in Google Scholar.

glyconutrients
It is 5pm here.
First let me say that as far as I know I do not have MS. The reason I am replying to your post is about the glyconutrients. Nine years ago I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, given several Rx, including statin drugs, glucophage, altace, ect all as semi-permanent precautionary measures. I was also on celebrex for arthritis in my joints from the many years that I played American Football.
By January of 2005 my muscles, most notably those in my right hand had atrophied so badly that I thought I might have ALS. While studying ALS I learned that statin drugs have side effects that mimic ALS. I took myself off of these drugs and told my Dr that I was going natural on my cholesterol prevention. He about flipped. I showed him my hand and he send me to a neurologist. The neuo ran a bunch of test and stuck many needles in my body only to decide that I had a Vitamin B-12 deficiency and not ALS. Loved that. The situation got a little better as the statins cleared my system and the b-12 was replenished. At that time I had not heard of glyconutrients.
After going natural for my cholesterol ect for over 7 months and doing away with every Rx except glucophage and celebrex, I went in for my physical. Everything was great except my PSA was high. He sent me to a urologists. 6 days before my appointment with the uro a friend came in to my studio and asked if I had ever heard of glyconutients. I said I had just run across them on the web but had not investigated much. He didn't have a clue about my possible prostate problem but the first thing he gave me to read was a testimony by a famous Dr whom had taken this stuff and have apparently lessened the serverity of his prostate cancer.
I started on them right away without telling my 2 Drs, because I was going as natural as I could.
The uro checked me and bumped an operation out of line so I could get a biop 23 days later. The urgency in all this was not reassuring. I took a bunch of glyconutients over the next few weeks and to the obvious suprise of my uro the biop came back clean.
Now for the side effects of the glyconutrients.
My allergies cleared up. My cronic sinus infection went away.
The atrophy in my muscles had stopped ok but now my muscles are coming back. My finger nails that were very brittle and ugly have become strong and look good again. I have been off of celebrex for 21 weeks with no arthritis pain. I also apparently no longer have raynoids syndrome.
But the best side affect is that feeling, strength, and dexterity have returned to my atrophied right hand and forearm that had severe muscle and nerve damage.
Get the bulk 150 gram Ambrotose and take about 8 of the little scoops thru out the day. You should really give it a 5 month trial. When you notice it starting to work you can add in some of the other products as I have.
These are not drugs and do not cure anything. They just furnish the raw material that your body needs in a form that requires less energy for it to process. This way the body can correct its problems.
Cellular communication is the key. This product apparently enhances that communication.
Try them, they are just food.
Good Luck

Glyconutrients
Kennyfrank, Thank you for all that info that you wrote. It really moved me and I will seriously consider these nutrients. I hope your good health continues. I will also tell my Dad - he's been on Statins for 2 years following a heart attack.
I am just nervous about moving on to these as I have recently started a big supplement regime, but I don't know if I having any benefit and am worried that it seems quite easy to take an MS sufferer on an expensive ride. I don't think I'm the only one who wants a quick fix to all the little and huge problems that come with the territory.
Looked at the posts as suggested by Notasperfectasyou, but kinda got carried away with the tests on some of the link throughs!! But did find the content about Glyconutrients interesting - Thank you!

Glyconutrients
I tried the Ambrotose complex myself but it did not do anything for me, good or bad. It sounded great on theory but no benefit to me personally but I guess everyone reacts differently.
