I checked the doctor's list of Coimbra Protocol certified doctors.
And there isn't any doctor in Australia.
Probably, (correct me if I'm wrong) you are following the protocol for yourself without any medical support.
It's wrong.
You need to talk with a specialized doctor. Only a certified doctor can apply correctly any treatment or protocol.
Has anyone with SPMS or PPMS given it a try?

I am in close contact with my doctor and have had my PSH levels check and my dose adjusted.Lionel wrote:And there isn't any doctor in Australia.

Its not err... neruo-science... My doctor is "certified" as a university trained and board registered medical practitioner. There is no specific "certification" on the Coimbra protocol, as it has not undergone rigorous medical trials/studies widely accepted by the medical community. It is an alternative treatment.Lionel wrote:You need to talk with a specialized doctor. Only a certified doctor can apply correctly any treatment or protocol.

I respect your opinion.
However, I think it's wrong because the doctor that developed this Protocol is Coimbra and only him and his fellow doctors have the expertise to apply this protocol.
All the people that got better are following the guidance of a trained doctor.
But you decide.
Best Wishes!

Have you yourself been certified to speak on behalf of what constitutes the correct treatment under this protocol?Lionel wrote:I think it's wrong because the doctor that developed this Protocol is Coimbra and only him and his fellow doctors have the expertise to apply this protocol.
All medical treatments are developed by someone, and applied by someone else. Otherwise it would be considered magic or faith healing.
But the point at hand is that people also do not get better; ie me. Its a small but important distinct between:Lionel wrote:All the people that got better are following the guidance of a trained doctor.!

and by "trained", I will assume you mean specifically by Coimbra.Version 1 wrote:All the people that following the guidance of a trained doctor, got better.

Yes, but it is applied by someone that was trained for it. And learned some expertise from your master/professor.All medical treatments are developed by someone, and applied by someone else. Otherwise it would be considered magic or faith healing.
Your doctor don't prescribe high doses of some vitamin for 13 years like Coimbra. thus, Coimbra has an expertise that other doctors don't have. And he teaches it to his students and they maintain a contact with each other talking about their patients.
Some conventional doctors do not even recommend diets like Swank, George Jelinek and Whals for their patients. Some conventional doctors don't know nothing about diet (second Dr. Mercola and Dr. Whals) because the graduation don't explores this subject with details. And as you already know Diet play a big important factor in human health.
The same happens with vitamin D3 and other vitamins and supplements, some of them not even recommend it for people with MS. Not even 4,000 or 10,000IU. There are a lot of reports here on TIMS and thousands over internet showing it. Often they only prescribe conventional drugs that have many bad side effects - and only it.
“To the man who only has a hammer, everything he encounters begins to look like a nail.”
You aren't following it for 2 years yet. So you can't say it.But the point at hand is that people also do not get better; ie me.
People who have PPMS and SPMS for many years need more time to get better.
Keep it for more time. Give it a chance, then after 2 years if nothing good happens you will know.
However, would be great if you contact a doctor with expertise about this treatment.
And I noticed that probably you are an angry person (based in some of your posts). So try to calm down. You already know that emotional aspects have a big influence on MS progression. Mindfulness is very good on it.
Best Wishes!
