Well, it has been a just over a year since I was diagnosed with MS. My gratitude to all here for teaching me about this disease and how to better help myself
I'm kinda old to get MS. I turn 60 this month. The presentation of my disease was just like described in the textbook. The MRIs and spinal taps only confirmed what we were already very sure of. So I am convinced I have the right diagnosis.
My Neuro has never talked to me about nutrition, supplements, or other self help action. Everything I have learned has come from here. For this I am grateful.
Your advice has improved the quality of my life. As fatigue started in, I learned about B12 here. What an immediate improvement! And I learned about co q 10 and magnesium for more improvement. Thanks again.
I recently started using pro biotics; my gut feels better already.
Thanks too for educating me about the important vitamin D.
And as I struggle(d) with the Tecfidera shiits, I was able to draw on the experience of others.
So you have helped me to get to where I am today. I have not had a relapse. The initial presentation of the disease left me with some neuropathy below my knees. It has gotten a tiny bit worse over the past year. But I have no new symptoms. I started feeling better after a couple of days on the Tecfidera. My last MRI at one year shows no new lessons or activity in the existing lesion
I don't post much..so my thanks to the frequent posters.
And my thanks to ThisisMS.
Your Redneckmba
