I need to vent.. sorry
Hi Carole
It might not seem like it, but I can relate!
I am sick of the heat here - temps in excess of 30C every day since November - it is so hot and humid that the ground steams after it rains! The heat drains me and makes the ms worse and I can't wait for winter (not that we have much of one here) - would love to see some of your white sxxx - my kids have never seen snow in their whole lives! Houses are generally not airconditioned here either...
So, too much of anything can get to you and I pray that you get a change soon!

Hi Mrs.G
Yes, where ms is concerned there is a lot to be said for the English weather! You get lots of cool damp weather, interspersed with periods of warmth or cold....I grew up there, and miss it now!
Carole - I am really glad that you can feel Spring approaching now and that it has lifted your mood - I also love the support here. I can't really move - my kids are young and have roots and family here - even if I moved somewhere else in the country, I might get a bit of a colder winter, but would still have a very hot and long summer - that's Africa for you!
If I wouldn't lose my disability (and if it wasn't so expensive to live there), I might eventually consider returning to the UK - can't afford it now, and anyway, am very scared of the NHS!

Re: I need to vent
When I lived in an area that had particularly hot summers, e.g., 110 - 115°F, I spent a lot of time in public buildings which had air condition such as the library.
