got an award!
have been freaking a bit about school finances, but just discovered today that about 25% of last term's tuition, which i thought was still owing and never mind the upcoming spring term, has been paid!
it seems like a very long time back, i submitted an essay for an academic perseverance award, and apparently it came through on april 4th!

Thanks so much all
it's a sad award, but every little bit helps! yea really dignan, the money sure did not come from the govt this time! (although they have sent some handouts my way in the past, via the millenium awards stuff).

Sameer Ahuja Perseverance Award
This award, valued at up to $2,000, has been established by family in honour of Sameer Ahuja (1980 - 2004) to recognize and provide financial assistance to a student who is persevering to obtain a degree while facing the challenges of a severe chronic medical condition and/or a physical disability. Sameer was an exceptional young man who was determined to persevere with his studies despite a life threatening illness which created numerous physical challenges for him. Interested undergraduate students in any Faculty who have obtained a minimum overall average of 65% and who have a demonstrated financial need are invited to submit an application by October 31st.

Jimmy,
As a self-made millionaire, there is nothing that annoys me more that the student who never leaves college. You're approaching 40 and at your age you should have at least 20 years' work experience under your belt. My advice - get a job and get married.
Expecting poor Dignan to cough up some money to support your student lifestyle (staying in bed until noon and spending the rest of the day in the bar) in unforgiveable. He has three kids from his first marriage to support and is putting some money aside for a trip to England to see me.
Notwithstanding the above, you're a nice looking girl with your heart in the right place. So I am pleased for you (in an anti-student sort of well).

Hate to break this to ya, but in England 'glamour model' is a lingerie/topless model - for those sorts of calendars that boorish men put up in auto-mechanic workshops, and teenagers hide under their mattresses etc. (not porn, think sexy!). Page 3 of the British newspapers...
Nothing to do with fashion, sorry
I think that maybe Ian was hoping you would ditch Dignan and send him a sexy pic from that 'episode' in your very eventful career
