pretty cool little prose
This is good!
Tequila and Salt
This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror
where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world
that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you
is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.
10 When you
think the world has turned its back on you
take another look.
11 Always remember the compliments you received.
Forget about the rude remarks.
And always remember....
when life hands you Lemons,
ask for Tequila and Salt and call me over!
Good friends are like stars........
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.
'Whenever One Door Cl oses Another Always Opens, Even Though
Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway'
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here than a whole truck load when I'm gone.

hey Lew-
I got that in an e-mail a couple of months back. It really made me smile (and very thirsty!) Funny how those e-mails can help- just to know someone is putting your name out into the universe.
thanks for sharing,
AC

I know. I get those "pass this on and good things will happen" emails all the time. I don't pass them on since they remind me of chain mail, but the tequila and salt line just cracked me up after all the deep thoughts. Do you remember on SNL; the "Deep thoughts with Jack Handy"? I had one on a coffee mug that said:
"It takes a big man to cry but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man".
I never got tired of that mug. I loved those, but alas SNL has sure changed. I watched it a few weeks ago after waking up on the couch at about midnight and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know a singe cast member anymore, but it wasn't half bad. I think after the group that had Chris Farley in it disbanded that Mad TV kind of took over. There were some good people on Mad. You're in that business. Do you ever get involved in stuff like SNL and what not?

Loobie, I loved Deep Thoughts too. I recently noticed that Jack Handey writes for the New Yorker (is he even a real guy?). He's still funny.

Hey Lew-
LOVE that mug. Deep thoughts....Yeah, the golden days of SNL for me were Gilda Radner and Bill Murray...I made it all the way up thru the Church Lady/Wayne's World era into Adam Sandler, and loved Al Franken's Stuart Smalley, but I just don't get the kids anymore
When, exactly, did I get old?
Hubby and I never did any work on SNL, but he does work on 2 current network comedies. If I ever get permission to "out" him, I'll share some funny stories.

Looks like Dignan and Lew are psychic (among other things)...
Jack Handey (Deep Thoughts) in the news today-
He has a new absurdist book out-
"What I'd Say to the Martians"
