Fishing report for 5-30-09

Post by Artifishual »

fishing here on Sabine is really starting to pick up. the gulls are picking shrimp from the north end all the way to the jetties. :D makes for easy catching! at any rate me and dad and Dalton made a fast trip Saturday and managed some supper. I took a couple videos mostly of Dalton and his awesome fishing and boat driving skills!! he is so much fun!

Micchael Jackson; fishing; goes without saying  It's awesome watching you raise him and give him all these good memories. My fishing memories are some of my fondest.

Love It !!! Best times I can remember were fishing with my dad. He put me at the helm running my uncle, cousins, and clients out for fishing trips when he had to work. I was 8 yrs old barely could see over the bow. Been a fishing fool ever since. Your raising him right. Fish On... ! Mark

Fishing time was a chance to sit in the boat and just be with my Dad. Just the two of us. We trolled and fished bass in many New England lakes...and I was the clean and gut gal. Dad and I would bread the fillets and he'd cook them up for the whole family Yum. Thanks for sharing those terrific pics, Shannon.

Nice catch Artifishual! Making memories is what it's all about! My wife and I entered a derby May 23 on Shuswap lake, sponsered by "Off the Hook" tackle shop in Sorrento. This was the first annual 'catch and release' derby. There were only 11 boats entered, and only 3 legal fish caught, (rainbows 50cm (18") & over), (we didn't catch any of them), so they threw the names of every skipper into the draw and I won 1st prize! Got a nice Bradley electronic smoker. My oldest daughter and son-in-law, my brother-in-law, and my nephew were with us. I would include a photo, but I don't know how, but there are no cute kids in my pics.
PS My wife makes me wear an inflatable life vest on the boat and on the docks.......hasn't had to save me yet...but you never know
