SammyJo goes to Stanford

Yes, I had to use a wheelchair for travel to Stanford. On Halloween, 2 days after stent surgery, we took a drive to Half Moon Bay.

I have to use a cane all the time, but I can't go far, for sure not through the SFO airport, or around the Stanford campus, so Doug was wheeling me about on both trips. The first week after surgery, I was so weak I ad to use a walker to move around the house. If you already have disability like a cane or more, plan on being in worse condition ability-wise after procedure, so you will need extra help.

I think I am EDSS = 6.0 "Intermittent or unilateral constant assistance (cane, crutch, brace) required to walk about 100 meters with or without resting"

I'll let y'all know as soon as I go up a notch on the EDSS!

Thanks Sammy JOe for explaining and for the warning. I will definitely take that into consideration! Never imagined you could hve worsening weakness immediately after procedure, but that makes sense doesn't it all?!
