Hi,
I have read conflicting views on this.....
Can someone advise as to when its best to take the following:
Vitamin D
Calcium
Magnesium
morning/afternoon/evening or bedtime?
Also should Ca/Mg be taken together or not? The tabs come in a combined form (I've got 3 bloomin tubs for my wife) but I have been reading that they effect each others absorption if taken together.
Can you give me your thoughts please?
Thanks in advance.

I take my vitamin D, Calcium and Magnesium twice a day in the morning after breakfast and in the evening after dinner. I know some people take the vitamin D once a week, but I prefer to take it dayly more like the way we would get it through sunlight if we were exposed to sunlight every day. I take a combined Calcium Magnesium pill, just makes it easier. Hope this helps, Dave
whoooops i missed this earlier.
take some magnesium at the same time as D3, and some magnesium separately away from the D3.
i usually would recommend magnesium at bedtime, if it's a citrate form.
with magnesium glycinate i have trouble taking that at bedtime, it gives me a reflux cough.
yes magnesium and calcium compete with each other for absorption.
i haven't seen anything to suggest that ms patients are low in calcium, but i have seen studies showing low magnesium in ms patients.
ms patients might do better with a 2 parts magnesium to 1 part calcium blend.
