Dots in vision and Extreme Fatigue

Post by silverwings87 »

Hey, so at the moment, I am undiagnosed, hearing MS more an more. (I'm working on getting insurance so I can begin the trials again... )

Anyway, so I along with Extreme Fatigue, random twitches in my feet and legs, dropping things all the time, trouble with saying words, slurring, short term memory is non existent, and i can no longer seem to write the right letter or word and some other things.

I've got a dot in my vision, it's not a floater, and my eyes check out just fine, it's not there all the time, it comes and goes throughout the day. It's more like something neuro, like "seeing stars" or something, I can still see it if I close my eyes.

Has anyone had anything like this? It started when all my symptoms started a few years ago..

Also, lately after I eating, I get hit with MAJOR fatigue. Anyone else have this happen either?

Thanks.

(PS I'm 24, in Colorado)

sometimes i do get fatigue after eating and i can usually attribute that to exactly which foods i ate.

can you comment a little on your diet and exercise regimen (ie before getting to feel this way)?

for example what food would you typically have for weekday breakfast lunch dinner and snacks, and what would you typically have that is different on weekends, if anything? what do you drink? how many hours of exercise and what type?

do you take any supplements? if so, what kinds?

do you eat flour and sugar? commercial baked goods? simple carbs? fried foods?

what do you drink most? coffee, tea, pop, diet pop, juice, energy drinks, milk, water, or something else?

would you say you get 5-10 servings a day of fruits and vegetables? if so, do you eat more fruit, or vegetables? what kinds of these foods do you eat most often?

how many times do you exercise per week? generally how long per session? would you describe your regimen as sedentary, light, moderate, strenuous, or highly strenuous?

along with the symptoms you've described, some of this lifestyle info could help point up some areas to watch out for.

hth!

I'm 19 and was diagnosed a little over 2 years ago. I know exactly what you're talking about though in regards to the eye problem. It's like if you look at a bright light or the sun, and take away the black splotches. From what I remember from the few times I've passed out (not ms related), its alot like the vision when you're light headed and about to go unconscious. Needless to say it's a pain in the ass. I've found that it goes away over time though - sometimes taking a few days sometimes a couple weeks.

Wow, that's it excatally! Glad someone else can decribe it, and I'm not loosing my mind. Lol. Sorry you have yo deal with it too, it IS a pain... :(

Guess that could be another check mark for ms..

As for my diet, its really not as good as I'd like it to be, but hasnt changed since the fatuge started. I usually eat a powerbar in the am, then have a good lunch, then get kicked on my butt with the fatuige, then get better, then eat something for dinner, then pass out.

I try to hike 2miles every other day, and my job is pretty phyical.

hi well, unfortunately i can't get a good enough sense of what might be going on from that info. there are known nutritional problems seen in ms patients but i am not picking up any warning flags from what you've said other than a power bar is probably not your ideal breakfast. the fatigue after eating is significant, but i don't know what your definitions of good lunch, or something, are.
